Just curious on what you mean "you can't just fold the arms to the side."
I ask because from my understanding, the arms were always part of the trailer that becomes the armor. And because of that, in order to have any QC-free articulation, you need to revert the robot's arms back into the way it was in truck form. Much like the way it was with the original toy. Or did the toy not transform this way after all?![]()

I agree. But my problem is that because I have said limited budget, hope to move next year, and plan to submit all of my current pieces to AFA... I don't know if MP-8 Grimlock and the possible Ultra Magnus pieces are possible.
Especially since it does not appear they will reissue him as either an Encore or even a Masterpiece.

But he will be in my list in hopes of me getting lucky, as he fits what I am looking for. So lets hope he gets a reissue either way.

The MP-10 mold can't fold it's arms back into it's sides. the waist is made up of the wheel arches like MP-01. In order to get them in, you have to basically take the toy back to truck mode. Since the legs don't flip down like the G1 mold, this leaves the front of the truck pointing straight up and make it incredibly back heavy. In order to make an armor for that mold it will have to be a parts former like City Commander.

Oh, I'm sure they could think of a creative way to do it. MP Rodimus would have been easy if you could just throw his car mode into that winnebago, but oh no, you have to transform him into some sort of monstrous mess to shove him under his trailer. I'm thinking this will be similar.
BluavalancheZ71 wrote:I think we will see the ultra magnus with full armor and trailer, as we are getting the sideswipe and red alert figures, which if we get the trailer we could load them up onto the trailer as a real car carrier, if you remember back to the G1 packaging it shows magnus carrying other bots in vehicle mode. And even tho the pic shows MP-10 doesnt mean they did a retool to the mold to make it work with full armor. But if not magnus I def foresee being a Nemesis Prime deco, its quick and easy and it allows them a lil filler to have more time to make the magnus armor work.

Even though both were separate guys (BT Black Convoy having been created by Arkeville and Alternity Convoy Super Black being a redeemed Universe Nemesis Prime).KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:I slightly cannot, for two reasons:
1) In Japanese continuity, Black Convoy (Nemesis Prime) only existed in the Binaltech continuity. (Binaltech: BT-17 Black Convoy; Alternity: A-01 Convoy - Super Black)

Whoa!Maybe it's another Eldedroid toy using the MP-10 mold. Granted that would be boring, lazy, and flat out awful, but still possible.

The part that's in bold was what I was referring to. How he was back in his G1 body post-G-2 with no explanation.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Though, despite his defeating Galvatron II, Galvatron II still remained at large and in command with Megatron (now somehow back in his old body) serving under him.
That was due to Battlestars. Galvatron was the result of Unicron's own power (which would explain Galvatron's madness in season 3), and was further explained in Kiss Players. Dark Nova recovered his crushed body and had undone what Unicron did in order of upgrading Galvatron to Super Megatron. And in a tradition that would make Toei proud (and FYI, Toei says nothing about the Transformers in their gallery's timeline), the two merged and became Ultra Megatron.
Then there was the start of the G-2 era, where he was more of a violence-free Megatron. That changed when humans killed some Destrons, and he obtained his G-2 tank form. And between that and the moment you mentioned, he regained his original form.
Indeed.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:But thanks. I figured it had to be the next logical step on account that he was found to be near death at one point in the MP-3G comic. Plus, it would make a great jump-in point for e-HOBBY to do a follow-up on that story... Especially with so many collectors here be willing to shove out the money for such an exclusive.

Sabrblade wrote:Though, Unicron didn't make Galvatron I (not II) insane. That was due to his lava bath on Thrull messing with his head, as he was still sane in the 1986 movie (however, Galvatron II's insanity was indeed a side-effect of Unicron's reformatting).
Sabrblade wrote:And Dark Nove didn't merge with Super Megatron into Ultra Megatron. He upgraded Super into Ultra, and then merged with Ultra to become Hoshi no Kyojin, the Star Giant.
In the movie, Galvatron acts exactly as he did when he was Megatron, only differences being his new voice (Leonard Nimoy instead of Frank Welker) and his new, more powerful body. He's as calm-minded and tactical-thinking as he was when he was Megatron.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:I need to slightly correct you there. In the movie, we do not see the state of Galvatron's mentality after the death of Unicron. However, what we do see is him being placed on a very tight mental leash... Which means that whenever Galvatron resisted, he received a very bad form of mental torture.
I am assuming that he was forced to watch the Michael Bay films that way.![]()
So when Unicron died, his influence (and particles) was still in Galvatron. Which was later revealed when Cyclonus tried getting his insanity corrected and the planet could not - Unicron, and not the lava bath had influence on his mentality. This was also later proven to be a possibility when (in Headmasters) Galvatron announced his plans to become the next "Unicron" (per say). Which means that up to his death, Unicron still had an influence on him.
And if any... The heat from the lava might have damaged some of the particles that allowed Unicron to have a greater grasp on Galvatron.(And yes,I watched the third season's episodes nearly religiously as both a kid and an adult.)
I'm not amused.KUMA-NIN Maximus wrote:As for Galvatron II... His madness was due to him facing an "Endless 8" and being aware that he would not escape anytime soon.
