Yes, I'm becoming OCD about this and probably won't get much sleep tonight and it is by a sheer force of will which is preventing me from heading to toys r us right now for a pre-emptive strike.

Exact dates don't mean anything. You're better off starting the hunt some 2 weeks after the proposed date, or a week after the first sighting.

A few days ago, I noticed that the Hasbro announcement that is linked in the first post no longer says July 1. It has no date at all. Arg.

This is supposed to be my Father's Day gift, let's shake a leg TRU, huh?

ya, on another forum someone posted an email from H customer service. It basically said the release date has been pushed back. Did not specify a time. I still want to know if TRU will have a booth at SDCC. NO ONE ANYWHERE KNOWS!!! No response from TRU cust. service either. WTF? come on!! Somebody's gotta know something!!!!!!!

If this is true, i am definitely picking up 2 if not 3 right when they open (hello ebay). Thankfully i don't need to be in work until 10:30 and i pass by 2 Toys R Us chains everyday.

Not to beat a dead bot, but I too got a notice from Hasbro:

"The release date on this product has been pushed back and no information is available on a new release date."

Now that it's relatively official that the big guy won't be available any time soon, I've turned my attention and funds to the new Generations/WFC/HFD figs. Actually it's kind of a relief, I didn't want to have to decide among MP Grimlock and the new Gens stuff. Still bummed, tho, I knew it was too good to be true. *pouts*

Well i do's liek money. And if i am going to take advantage of a sale or exclusive, I'd might as well make money off collector's. I am sure collectors won't mind buying from me... ...at all. :KREMZEEK:

Yeah, I'd rather buy from Toys R Us than a scalper who "likes money". Collectors will buy off sclapers if they have to, but we'd mind. Don't fool yourself.

That said, I haven't seen Grimmy around my area, so I guess this release date was bogus.
