Great day for Beast Wars fans, as they get updates to classic characters in 2 different lines. Thanks to some small pictures showing upcoming products released by Takara, we see an image of Masterpiece Rhinox and Legacy United Silverbolt. While the images are small and we can't make out all details, from what we can tell they look exactly as themselves, for their respective lines. You'll let us know what you think!

Forget MP Rattrap, I'm still wondering whatever happened to MP Cliffjumper- we've seen test shots, painted samples, etc, for a couple of years now, it seems like, but no reveal or announcement.

Back on topic, I'm a little surprised that Kingdom came and went with no BW Silverbolt, Legacy and Legacy Evolution both came and went. Even a three episode figure (Tigerhawk) was announced and shown before a main character like Silverbolt.

While the wings look a bit odd, overall Silverbolt doesn't look too bad, and I will definitely pick one up once he's out. As far as beasts go, I'm still hoping we get Depth Charge and Rampage one day, Quickstrike I can take or leave because I never really liked the character in the show, and maybe in a few years I'd like another go at Scorponok, because that Kingdom Deluxe isn't very good.

might have something to do with beast wars metals not being popular in Japan. they really wanted to focus on the core beasties to maximize profit on both sides of the pond I would wager.

Seeing both of these guys on the horizon though gives me the warm fuzzies. keep bringing the mp beasts hastaktom

I wouldn't be sure about a Tigerhawk retool as there is a whole class size of difference between them (I belive leaks put him at Voyager level to Tigerhawk's leader class). There may be shared engineering however but it could also be its own thing entirely (not like it doesn't have repaint potential).

yeah, just comparing the two there's no obvious parts in common. Tigerhawk has plenty of repaint potential like toy colors and Universe Razorclaw so it's not necessary to retool it to get the most out of the mold.



There is that theory that Tigerhawk will be somehow retooled into the Leader Thundertron from the Star Seeker capsule at Walmart, but I'm very doubtful of that.

I was always doubtful about that one but we'll see eventually. Though to think that a character like Thundertron would get a release in two different size classes in the space of 12 months is a bit amusing.

Happy to see Silverbolt looking to use what seems to be a mostly if not completely accurate mold. And more MP beasties are always a treat. Hope I'll be able to recreate this scene with 'em.

MP Rhinox does look good! I'm impressed they went with a new mould. Given MP Tigatron was the last Mainframe BW release Three Years ago. I expected MP Tarantulas to follow suit as a shared engineering, upscaled Blackarachnia. This creates an even further disparity between the number of remaining Predacons and Maximals. But, that just means the last few will all be Preds.

I wish they'd just hurry up and do MP Airazor. I'm Rhinoxed out at the moment...not that Airazor hasn't had almost the same amount of figures Rhinox has had recently. I just like Airazor better. She got me back into Transformers way back when.

Even with a raised profile in recent years. I still think Airazor and Scorponok will likely be the last two MP’s. Given their popularity during the show.

Nice to have another version of Beast Wars Silverbolt. THe original toy was already pretty accurate, only needing new wings and be taller, so I wonder this new version will add.

Oh hell yes. For some reason I'd totally forgotten this was a possibility.

BW Rampage is my personal nostalgia champion (had one of the dopest intro episodes ever on the show and was the first action figure I ever remember being properly hyped for) so that'd be an auto-buy for me. I thought the original figure was pretty cool but with modern engineering they could improve soooo much on it.

Takara has its big reveal day today, and that includes their next Beast Wars Masterpiece figure, Rhinox. The reveal was done through Dengeki Hobby. You can see the images below which look like pure magic once again (with lots of paneling as well). The 35,200 yen price puts him around the $230 mark, including taxes. We'll see what Hasbro sells it for domestically on Pulse. The toy is set for an end of June 2024 release.

Rhinox looks fantastic. Damn the need to complete the Maximals.

Also, I know it's just the Rhino mouth's upper palate behind his head, but it totally looks like Rhinox has long blonde hair and a mohawk.

Really happy with this release. What I am most curious is the rhino limbs since those parts seem completely different in robot mode. And I like the price. We get a bot as big as Dinobot, just about, but much cheaper thanks to less accessories, something I never really need.

Beautiful. Rooting for this since longtime, next in my own personal wishlist of BW MPs is Waspinator.

It'd need an almost complete repaint to be spot on. I don't know whether the episode is so popular to justify it, even if that would allow to reuse the mold.

Eh. I know Rhinox has some really loyal, energetic fans. But somehow, the character and its figures never 'landed' for me. This one will be an easy pass, but me not buying just leaves more for the other collectors who will give him a good home!
