It just looks really awesome doesn't it! All I can say is well done (offers pat on the back) Why the hell can't toy companies put as much thought and effort into something like this which would fly off the shelves if ever made commercially??

Because although this scratchbuild is awesome, it probably wouldn't fly of the shelves.
It's just too darn expensive to produce and sell on a cost effective basis.

For example, HasTak could easily design Alternators that would put MP Convoy to shame in terms of articulation, but that would make for a far less profitable toy.

i agree when you guys say that hasbro would have a hard time selling theses to the general public since IT would be too expensive.... and well with my nephews i,ve learned one thing.... they dont really care about quality anymore more then quatity... that really sad...
thank god we have great kitbashers out there to make what we REALLY want and offer them to the rest ...even if it,s expensive.... i believes it keeps the interest alive for us g1 lovers to the toys....
because i must admit if there was nothing (g1 or alternators) going on i might have left the transformer scene.... but hey thank goodness for you guys

as for the megatron himself i really dont have time to finish it... and it,s killing me to see it almost complete.... but as soon as it,s done or theres some progress i,ll show it to you guys promise !!!

well nothing yet.... i have 10 mp-02 trailers that need my immediate attention and that i need to deliver soon and also i,m moving in a bout 1 1/2 months so there wont be much updates for that time.... after that i,ll finish him and show you guys the final product !!!

nope still have allot of work to do on it (silencer, arm rest, energon mace, laserbeak, ect.....) and also some improvements on the gun mode that i want to apply.....

well you calculate how much you want to do and how much is done and painted .... that simple and it also allows people to see if there is actual progress before comming to this thread

actually i,ve moved and had to build my new workshop from sratch (walls and floors and ceilling.... so i have been VERY VEY BUSY !!! and finishing the mp-02 trailers orders as well......

as for not responding to emails that happens sometimes....i get so many that is possible but as soon as i can i will try to answer them all in onew shot....

as for mp-xx megatron it will be finished hopefully within a month .... and it will be something !!! also big new project coming soon as well !!!

hey everyone !!! it,s been a while but meg mp-xx is back !!! as you can see i,m trying to stay true to the g1 look.... the silencer is big but proportionate .... BIG !! also you can notice part of his leg transforms into the arm rest.... not an easy thing to do trust me on that.... now i will design the alternate mode of the barrel !!! more to come soon.... you can also check the progress here !!!

As for him, he's still awesome and all but kinda pointless now with the news of MP megatron comming out.

it,s not pointless....what would be pointless is not finishing what you start.... even if it takes time to finish it....

as for going to sybertron, no i did'nt know ...and it kind of suck because there is not much action there......

Well I meant pointless to sell them.Not pointless to finnish. Don't get me wrong..I love it. I always have. No offence meant.

Just that the 100$ price tag for a Takara based one will be more tempting to buyers.

Anyhoo, I think it looks great and I hope to keep seing you kick out projects but try and keep in touch man. We miss you here.

I guess that depends on what MP-Megs turns into. If it's a tank, then the other side of the fandom will still be quite interested in this guy--and there may be a handful of them willing to pay whatever he's worth.

In any case, this really is a great kitbash. I'll be waiting for updated pics.

TNI has a post up that its going to be a over sized version of the original.. and stand as tall as prime.. BUT that is now. they are saying a spring 2007 release date.. but all that can change...

your absolutly right for the price tag.... i might cancel the production of my mp-xx megatron if my clients decide that they want to wait until the mp-05 comes out to compare....

dont worry i,m not offended at all by what you said.... but i love the way it,s going and i think that if i dont do it for myself and do it for the money well ...it,s not worth doing at all !!! passion comes first all the time !!!
