My 20th Ann. DVD Prime Gun Repaint
The blue and yellow gun Prime came with was damn near blasphemy. I stripped the pained, used Krylon Fushion black and then did some light sanding with a super-fine sanding film to give it that "battle tested, Prime approved" look.

Not bad, I have been thinking about doing same thing.
Except I have to use double sided tape in order to get my Prime to even hold that gun and Megs...
The tape wouldn't hurt the new paint would it?

Well double sided scotch tape will take most paint apps. off, but try positiong the gun in the hand how I have it. It's pretty sturdy.

Yeah, you have to close each finger a little further as you move down the hand to get a good grip.
Nicely painted FM, it looks much better, but did you not think of putting on some silver like the first version's gun. I know it isn't technically fully cartoon accurate, but I think it looks better to break up the black.

Yeah, I thought about addingin some grey and silver to make it even more 'toon accurate, but I have a couple of WIP's, including a custom Devastator that will most likely look like s*** and classics Hot Rod(G1 style which is actually turning out badass), going right now and I just wanted to make this as simple as possible. Thanks for the compliment though.
