I fully intend to, I just like to spread out the excitement...and the WFC figs came this weekend and they won out. But I'll get to Starscream tonight or tomorrow.

That's alright then, I'll let you off! I keep figures, sometimes for months, but they always get opened eventually.

I can now confirm that he is my favourite!

I have just discovered this is not the case. He's the lightest of the set but I have just discovered that everthing locks into place nicely. The backs of the elbows have grooves that slot on to tabs on the hip hinges that hold the doors. There is a tiny peg on the tab. You slide the elbow groove on to the tab and twist slightly to push the peg into a place et voila, arms don't flop. Make sure you twist the elbows to release them when transforming to robot.

I opened it and I like it. And luckily nothing broke and no paint got scratched up as some other review mentioned. And Starscream's head doesn't look nearly as terrible in person as it does in pics so that's good. The only question now is whether I want to blow another $100 on Skywarp and Thundercracker... Haven't bit on any of the other repaints of the other molds in the line (they're just too damn expensive) so I don't know if I should start now.

The Starscream head really grows on you after a while and now I really like it. It has a definite Japanese feel to it. I wasn't sure about getting Skywarp but having the different head really sold it for me. I will surely get Thundercracker if he is more than just a straight repaint of Skywarp. Hopefully they will give thundercracker his own head.

I'd like to have all three seekers, even though I'm against buying duplicates. I won't buy them because I don't have enough money to throw it away like that. There will be new molds to splash out on. Besides, I need to save up for Alternity 5!

I was disappointed with Prime/Convoy (stumpy arms, shoulders too far back, not easy to stand) but he grew on me. Just thought I'd warn you to ease any disappointment if you don't like him. I don't regret buying Prime but Megatron is much better.

The only thing I've found to really be disappointing about any opf them is the price tag. Other than that they're pretty sweet. I wish they were the same size as Alts/BTs, though. I'd also feel better about their price then...

Forced to disagree. Voyager-sized cars like the Binaltechs don't fit in well with the other lines. Deluxe-sized cars fit in with G1, RiD, much of UT, Movie, Animated...

But they'd fit in with the Alts/BTs! Myself, that's the only line I'd look to try and blend them in with...and maybe Human Alliance. But at least there are some out there that prefer their size over 1/24.

Yes, but a voyager-sized car feels like it's worth $50, whereas a deluxe does not. Really, these things should just be a little cheaper.

Got around to opening these guys up today and tinkering around with them. I'm pretty satisfied with them overall, they seem solid in both modes. Not a fan of Starscream's head mold so he will be in car mode while Skywarp will be in bot mode. The shoulder joints are a little tricky the first time you transform them from bot to car, if you don't have it turned properly when you get to the end and try to fold the arms up you basically have to completely untransform them to correct it. That and those door panel areas that end up on his hips have a tendency to pop off. Other than those small gripes they're a very nice interesting take on the Seekers.

The hefty price tag is because you're paying for Japanese micro-engineering, like a Sony micro hifi. Cos caucasians are just too darn tall.

Yep, I fell into the shoulder trap myself. Believe it or not, it *is* possible to transform them without the doors popping off.

Just got Skywarp and so far i'm digging him ..He's my first alternity figure and It has defintley piqued my intrest with the line itself..I am having a slight problem with his chest plate..In diems video it seemingly "Snapped" into place..On my sky warp it's very stiff..When I apply pressure it just won't budge and I'm having a hard time connecting his waist to the lower chest..Of course the doors pop off but I find the snap back on easily..

Just wish I could get this guy to stand tall! I try using the instructions for reference but the pictures don't help much and my japanese is a little lacking LoL..

The chestplate is directly linked to the piece that makes up the base of his spine. It helps if you move them both at the same time. If you look at the picture in his instructions it should be a little clearer than my desription.

just messed with it a bit and the plate moves fine now..Think it was just stiff..I am having a problem still with his lower torso..Is the top section supposed to snap into the lower half via a little black tab?

There's a black hook on the lower chest plate that hooks into the hole on the top of the groin plate near the decep logo. It doesn't really 'snap' or 'click' so it isn't super secure but it holds.

As others have said you have to move both halves at the same time while racheting the legs back at the hip so they are in position as well.

I love this line, but despise the auto-morph features. They just seem build to fail at some point if not immediately.

Mine got bent in the middle after a few transformations and broke off at the base later that day. I'm not bothered.
