Heh, seems to be going around. I know a guy who has been casted as an extra for a movie taking place in the 1920's starring Johnny Depp. The crew is up here in Wisconsin using a courthouse and downtown Columbus, WI for the movie.

Day one shooting is over..
I got there around 5am.
They went through my wardrobe and picked the best clothes for me.
After everyone was checked we headed towards the New Orleans Center where our "holding area" was next to sacks fifth avenue and we remained there until about 3:00pm (they fed us some dynamite food for lunch too).
Right after 3 they took us to the mini carnival set (it is at the end of Canal Street on the neutralground.
We watched as Cena did some driving takes and eventually his bit was over.
He drove back and waved to a few of us.
They did a scene where his car drives into a power plant transformer and there was a huge explosion.
Then they told us to get to the positions that we were assigned to and gave us instructions on what to do.
I was in the front of the set where the speeding streetcar was supposed to hit.
Our cues were,
"EXPLOSION"
We react to the explosion
And
"Trolley"
We realize that the streetcar is heading right for us and react then run away.
In total we did the scene 15 times in 4 hours.
Call time tomorrow morning is 9:30am...

12 ROUNDS day two
Almost as soon as we got to the holding area we headed down to the set.
I had two lovely women extras a my "co stars" for this whole scene.
We did the prior days scene a couple more times this time with the stuntmen around us.
We also did some scenes with us having fun at the "carnival".
I hit the mallet and rang the bell as instructed a few times and we clowned around for "added realism".
We rehearsed the scene where the streetcar smashed through and smacks the ice cream truck a few times.
Finally they did the scene and we hauled ass as the streetcar slammed through the prop barricade and smashed into the truck. It was loud and really had a sense of panic because we did not know how far the truck would skid.
Cena was on the set for this as he was running telling us to move.
We took a little break and took pix of John Cena as he standing on the side talking to the director.
I was going to take a pix with him but some ass that was walking on the street stepped in front of me and John got aggravated with it and said "no more pictures I have to work". The pedestrian got pissed and walked off.
They had us do a few takes walking back in shock and relief to the crash and walk around to survey the damage.
This was pretty much it as I could have stayed but the shoot would not have been finished until around 2am.
It was certainly an experiment in human behavior to see how some people react to the camera.
If called upon I may do it again.
