Is it true that female autobots went extinct during the great war with G1 Megatron. :???:

It said Megatron was responsible for that. :-x

It also said that Megatron killed all the female decepticons as well as the seekers. :cry:

OR, was that Galvastron? #-o

In G-1 a group of them survived including Arcee who continued to the end of G-1.

Of course one has to realize that in a line of toys designed and marketed towards young boys who've yet to get out of the "yucky girls have cooties" stage in life, fembots are going to be in the minority of the cast anyways.

Ah the legendary Galvastron, Decepticon Texas Commander....

The G1 Cartoon establishes fairly well, that Autofems were fighting during the great war, and were running a resistance movement against Shockwave while the main characters were shut-down on earth. The Fact Arcee was made a regular character during season three proves they were not so to say extinct.

Hunted down, maybe. Hiding, sure, but not wiped out.

I probably shouldn't be answering this thread because I have no official info to offer.

Personally, I find the idea that Megs (or Galvatron or whoever) slaughtering all the femmes to be wonderful creative fodder for a cool fanstory.

Specifically highlighting the struggles of surviving femmes in and underground kind of squad doing whatever they can to make life difficult for D-cons.

Sorry for the nerdy outburst. It's late. 8-}

And it doesn't really bother me that much because as anyone can see they aren't gone. I sorta have this idea that they are all just fine and living somewhere safe or out helping the guy-bots in who-knows-what part of the universe.

But I'm assuming that in this continuity where Megs killed them all (or tried to), he either killed just the Autobot femmes or at that time there were no Decepticon femmes.
Or maybe femmes that didn't want to face death became the first Decepticon femmes. :shock:

I can't picture Megs doing that. When he gets genocidal he goes after everyone - equal opportunity slaughter.

Just look at what he did in Beast Machines (official G1 timeline) He wiped out the whole of Cybertron. It should also be noted that one of the few he brought back was Strika, a female.

Point of deferal:
BW: Megatron and G1 Megatron are two different people. The actions he has done in the name of Megatron is not the same as the original Megatron doing them.

Predacon Megatron did something G1 Megatron could not....he totally conquered Cybertron, and had no real peoblems afterword for quite some time ( He could have been ruling Cybertron for years for all we know ), since untill Primal and the others showed up, only Nightscream seemed to have been the only other Maximal at liberty.

The fembots were going extinct but it was never clarified as to who was directly responsible. I imagine it's easy to blame Megatron since he was leading the only world-wide power capable of doing it. But I agree: hunted, killed, but not wiped out.
