As I write this it's 4-1 Rays in the 9th with Ruiz at 2nd and no outs. The Rays still have the odds in their favor in this one, but there's a lot of series (and at this moment, even the game) to go.

I hope you weren't one of those fans who were partying in the streets the day the Rays lost 8-7 to Boston.

Good win for the Rays tonight. The way this series looks right now it will be a good one. You know it will go 7.

Now let's hope we see a game 3 on Saturday. With what they say there is a chance for a rain delay and game 3 being played on Sunday.

I've never heard that song before, it was just incredibly funny.

As for what they played for the Phils, I honestly forget. It was much more in the background.

First off don't judge all philly fans by that post previously submitted. The majority of us are more well behaved then that, and unfortunatly those are the ones that give us our bad name.

Second the game by rule should not start over. Only if it did not make it past the top of the fifth inning it would of been started over. Unfortunatly for the face of majore league baseball and the teams we have to go through this tonight. Could be worse for everyone to. They could of followed the rule that would of reverted it to the fifth innings score and declared the phillies the champs and start a contreversy that would last for ages for both teams. So honestly this is the best choice.

This is by far the best decision, though the Phils got a bum rap and should have had a chance to bat in the same conditions that the Rays got to.

In any event I apologize for my most recent rant. Rough day at work and this was the 1st thing to catch my eye and set me off. I wish the Rays the best of luck and may the better team win...

So long as that team is the Phillies. :grin:

Yes, I would've rather the Phils batted. At least then the field and pitching conditions would have been even for both teams. Got to look at this from a fairness stand point.

It's all a moot point however. PHILADELPHIA PHILLES 2008 CHAMPIONS! :grin:
