My MP Ultra Magnus *WIP / UPDATE*

Postby TM Computron » Mon Sep 11, 2006 2:17 pm

I'm working now for weeks on a my Masterpiece Trailer for Ultra Magnus.
This is my current progress:

This is not the same as the version from marksprojects. It has a little bit different transformation. But thanks to him for the head and the rockets launchers which I used, because this was made great.
But I'm not satisfied at the moment with the result. I will make some more changes on the body, and add some more details.
I have some new ideas...I just need time to continue...(have not worked on it for almost 3 weeks now, beeing very busy at my job)...

Yeah, I saw this tremendous work. First I wanted to build this Magnus, too. But I didn't know how small the THS figure was, until I received it.
I think it's much harder to do such a small transformable trailer than a MP sized.
I've done a few changes already. I changed the upper body. It's not so wide now. this looks much better now. I hope I can continue work tomorrow....

looking forward to your updates if your soundwave http://www.tfmaster.com/gallery_kb0076.php was anything to go by this will be awsome too

i saw the smaller oens as maybe easyer as mistakes wont show as much, easyer to work with the materials and its much lighter, id love to see a mp magnus with the same leg transformation as the mini one but i dont know if its possable with the weight
marks was great and very impressive but with any extra bulk without adding hight looks a little off

First I thought on making a "giant" trailer like the small G1 trailer. But finally I decided to make it like Marks, just changed a little bit.
G1 Magnus looks so...stiff...
Legs are almost done. They look awesome now!

This is looking really cool! I've got plans to build my own Magnus trailer, but for now, I'm sticking to repaints . . .

(you gotta learn to crawl before you can be potty trained and walk :P Or wait a minute, maybe I have that mixed up? *sigh*)

Here's an update:

Most work done at the feet. They are almost finished now.
Transformation is getting more and more complicated!
Hope to finish it soon.
My motivation isn't the same as it was at the beginning...

but for now here's the progress:
