Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.

I'm interested to see the final product too, I've been tempted by this one for a little while.
waaaaghlord wrote:Thanks for the write up DM. I was kind of hoping you'd sway me on these when you got around to posting about them but you description of the materials doesn't sound great. On the other hand I'm pretty experienced with small scale modelling (coming up on 20 years wargaming) so I should be able to get some presentable results without too much fuss. So, yeah, still undecided really. I'll probably order a couple of Superion fillers at least at some stage, maaaaaaaaaby more...

Good suggestion, and in fact I'm in contact with a 3rd party group now and we are actively considering doing an official version of the WFC recordicons.
The thing is, we can get away with a lot of stuff in Shapeways that conventional methods cannot do, so you'll have to accept that official versions might have some compromise in design. But, be assured I'll try my best to push the envelope and make them as close to the Shapeways versions as possible.

so after I posted this review, I went over to tfw and asked Fakebuster, the creator of the WFC Rumble/Frenzy kit if he could team up with a 3rd party group to make plastic versions, this is the answer I got:Good suggestion, and in fact I'm in contact with a 3rd party group now and we are actively considering doing an official version of the WFC recordicons.
