Myth Wars WIP/sketch

Got a great pic of G1 Op or BW Megs? Whether it's 2-D or 3-D it's welcome as is any other form of art outside the custom figure world.

I love the fact that my talent has been reduced to drawing pepperoni-sized nipples..

Thanks.

"Final" design for Sludge in beast mode:

Image

Here's a few sketches:
- trying to find a pose for Sludge in robot mode
- experimenting designs for Sludge bot head
- possible Slag bot mode w/ head

Image

No pepperonies yet - except for the one in the middle of Sludge's head.

As for Slag, that bottom right hand corner is looking very promising so far.

Well, finally found a way to do the legs of "Beowulf": reverse them so that the feet become the knees. Back of the leg is formed by robotic parts like that with Lio Convoy, for example. Also gave him a new headdesign, and I personally like both, so have a hard time choosing there. :?

Meh, might as well post this for now, as I'm inking several things at the same time.

I plan to do a transforming piece with Galvy II.

initial sketch:

Inks in progress (robot mode):

The tail section splits off into a staff and cannon. Just annoying to ink the details along the way....

Oh and Ra, did you get a chance to do my favorite homicidal crab's bot mode yet?;)

btw, aren't images like that not allowed on the forum? not that I mind. although I think the breasts come up too high.

Well theres no actually nudity. Since shes not human and all :D Plus the nipples dont look like real ones. So im sure there isn't a problem.

like I said, I don't have a problem with the subject matter, I'm just arguing semantics, but I don't think the fact that they're robots changes anything. remember how that TF that turned into a vibrator was taken off the site? no nudity involved there.

*sigh* I wish I could get involved in this. I'm just not motivated in anything (here or outside).
I also won't have a method of getting ... oh wait, I think I have a spare Graphire drawing tablet in my stuff here at my mom's house! no scanner here, and my Intuous was back at my apartment in another city.
I want to do that Blackarachnia. don't have anything really in mind for alt mode, but I did want to play with the existing design. these humanoid alt modes always strike me as the least plausible... just not much purpose in such similar modes.

also, although not original enough, long ago I did a Beast Machines Tarantulas (modified BM BA) that I was reminded of when I saw this Myth Wars Tarantulas. mine was much less overtly demonic, and so less resemblance to Unicron. I was still going for a "prince of darkness" (Lucifer) look though. he had his Transmetal Fox Kids color scheme, which was sort of angelic. I'll just post the hand-drawn headshot I did. oh btw, that's the same version, just with his crown extended down into a face-mask. he has multiple eyes with his mask on and off.

Nope, have been smacked down by the cold since last monday. Well, I'm going on vacation next week, so I'll try and finish it then (along with a couple of other ideas I've had in my mind).

He's looking good, might I suggest "Beefing" up his legs some? I mean the main point of having BA's legs that thin was to blantantly point out she was female, Since Taurantulas isnt (female) I suggest having his legs be a little bit more to his name sake, it would also give his arms some build.

it's hard to judge his proportions. the original Tarantulas is a little lanky in some parts. I guess he is still too skinny even in the parts I changed. if it wasn't a digibash I could do more. the more I physically alter it the less realistic it will look, as is already the case.
he's also supposed to have 8 legs in beast mode. the 4th pair form wings in robot mode.

that color scheme does seem to work well, but I also felt the legs and chest were a bit too skinny even for tarantulas, and I understand your point about altering it to much to the point of it looking unrealistic. so that means you'll have to draw it :D

Well...I guess it would be alright to have a 2nd Myth Wars Tarantulas. We have 2 Snarls as well, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Not too familiar with the Myth Wars series. Is it Beast Wars integrated with creatures from arrays of myths and legends? Along with legendary waged wars?
Interesting designs though.
