Need info regarding Wii virutal console.

I downloaded my first game today-Paper Mario. It took up about 340 blocks. How many blocks do the NES, SNES, Gamecube, Genesis, Turbo Graffix games take up?

How many games do you all have on your console? It looks like I can only have 5-6 games on it. Thought it would be a lot more.

My nephews are visiting for the weekend, and have fallen in love with the system. They were standing 6 inches from the screen playing the Wii sports boxing game and Noah accidently punched my DVD player off the top of the TV. I held a funeral for it.

Most VC games run between 2 to 10 blocks depending on the game and system. The reason N64 games are so big is because.... they're big. If one were to put on a Sega Saturn game such as NiGHTs onto the VC, then it would probably fill up the rest of the memory. Personally, I have about 4 VC games. SMB1, F-Zero, Super Castlevania 4, and Gunstar Heroes. I'm planning on getting Streets of Rage 2 and a Street Fighter game in the near future. Oh by the way,if space is an issue, you can easily delete a game and redownload it from the Wii Shop channel at no charge.

Wow, I didn't realize the N64 files were that large.

I probably have 12-15 games downloaded between NES, SNES, Genesis, and TG-16, and I have PLENTY more space on the Wii for tons more. Then again, I haven't downloaded any N64 yet.

dosn't the Wii have external memory slots (SD cards)? Can't they be used for space?

Yeah they do, but you cannot save VC data to them.

Kinda makes sense really, stop people from copying the games and putting them up on the net for others to get them for free, though I'm sure its been done already, people always figure out how to get free games for consoles
