I'm not much of a customizer... in fact I rarely change my figures at all, but recently in a moment of 'drunken inspiration' I decided to drill some holes in the bottom of U2.0 Galvatron so that he can attach to the back of Energon Galvatron like the little tank accessory does.
I showed it to a few people and the challenge was put to me to somehow modify U2.0 Galvatron further so that he can clip onto E Galvatrons arm as a cannon.
This is where i need help.
I was thinking of taking the clips off the tank accessory and cutting off a little bit on each side to make them narrower (and cutting the pin to the same length of course)
Then I think I can open up a section of the treads (near where the only visable pin is) to allow room for the clip to swing using a dremel and can drill a small hole for the pin.
I haven't yet measured the clips to see if they'd be able to be pushed flat while U2 Galvy is in tank mode... but honestly i don't care much about that.
So my question to the experts here is; Am I being to ambitious, Am I more likely to completely ruin both U2 Galvy and the tank accessory for nothing than to accomplish a successful mod?
Any advice will be appreciated.

Re: Need opinions/help moding U2.0 Galvatron
Lots of things can clip to that arm. Maybe something other than the tank accessorie's clips could be used?
I just modded my energon Galvatron last night by drilling holes in his arm instead so I could get his custom cannon in place (the cannon has pegs for attachment) so no biggie.
I say go for it.
However from what you are describing I think it would be really bulky and cumbersome... energon Megs isn't THAT big, and the U2 tank Galvatron isn't THAT small... (and I thought the tank that came with energon Megs was too big, too, btw)
Cheers
