I see where you're coming from

Though with optimus im assuming they kept it for people that had already gotten earthrise optimus and prefer netflix prime as their definitive G1 Prime, providing the option to give him the trailer as well. And it seems most of the toys released in these lines are meant to have these kinds of options

As far as netflix soundwave goes, I was under the impression the landing gear also acted as "guns" in robot mode, since blast effects can be added to them. Other than that im not sure what purpose they would serve but they don't bother me in robot mode. And without them in alt mode, there'd be an odd gap in the back (not that it really matters). Just my take on it, though ill assume you're right about the armpit ratchets and I dont have an ER prime yet to judge the problem with the legs

Earthrise and Netflix Prime are the exact same mold and both of those molds share the same vestigial port with the wrong orientation that has nothing to do with carrying the trailer.

I thought at first that I'd may impulse Netflix Soundwave. But on second thought, there's no point for me. I'm plenty satisfied with my Siege version. I already have the G1 and the MP who turn into PROPER tapedeck modes. The Siege tape deck is a freaking mess. Plus now that I have ALL the cassettes, I really don't want to hunt down the same cassettes all over again, despite the slight differences.

On the Siege Prime, the port covered by the flap is on the left leg and is the trailer 'hitch'. But on Earthrise Prime, because of the way the legs flip differently, that port is now on the right leg and sits just to the side. I mean, it's an extra C.O.M.B.A.T. port so do with it what you will, but it was probably cheaper to leave it than remove it.

They only released two 'earth mode' cassettes didn't they? And they're in the set with Soundwave.

That soundwave comes with the 2 new casettes so nothing else needed to hunt. I knew this toy would be ridiculous on the secondary market so I got it now instead of regretting it later.

Finally found a Wave 2 figure. Just hit a Walmart with five Hotlinks, two Decepticon Mirages, and a single Bumblebee. Four more to complete the diorama. My bro didn't realize this was a VW Bee until I showed him the license on the box since he mostly collects Studio Series.

If you are in the Phoenix, AZ area, all of the deluxe figures can be found at a Walmart in the old Metrocenter mall. There are two pegs and at least two or three of each figure. The voyagers were still wave 1 though so the hunt for Soundwave continues.

My wife actually has family there, though I think asking her 80-something year old Grandmother who is pretty much blind to go to Walmart to try to find them (she is actually in Glendale) would not end well.

Even if it takes months I think I'll see them in my area, before I get a delivery from Phoenix

It feels good to have this completed. I know it's just some cardboard pieces but one of the things I love to do is set up scenes and take pics. Same reason I've kept every Studio Series box. No clue what they'll do for a pack-in for Wave 3 but I figure there will be a wave 3. Still looking for Soundwave but I'm honestly not sure if Netflix Prime is different enough for me to pick him up.

I say that now but I'll probably buy him on sight. Poor impulse control :oops:

I found a Prime and Soundwave at my Wal-Mart tonight and picked them up. I already have Prime, so if any of you want him at cost plus shipping ($50) PM me. I also have a trailer from Earthrise Prime I can throw in for an extra $10.

I just spotted NF OP and Soundwave. I wasn’t planning on buying either one, but after seeing them in person, I broke down and at least bought OP. Definitely, looking forward to seeing the Deluxes.

Yeah, I don't have the G1 original or rerelease so this will be my first cassette player Soundwave. I love the TR/Bumblebee release but he is more of a boombox than a tape deck. I know if I see the Netflix one he will end up getting bought.

This photo is tempting me to track down all of the Netflix Deluxes so I can build that Teletraan-1 backdrop, even though Bumblebee is the only one I actually want. I already have the general retail versions of Chromia and Wheeljack so I really don't need them again, and Elita isn't different enough from Arcee for me to justify buying it, but man, that backdrop is lovely.
