It's Bay's job to get filled in on the back-story as he goes along since he's the public "face" of the project. He may have had an outline or vague idea but it was Kruger's job to flesh it out, fill in the details and make it work while staying somewhat in continuity with what has come before it in the first 25+ years of lore. Bay has been cranking out other projects in the last few years and hasn't had time to research the price of a pack of toilet paper much less the details of Transformers history like Unicron and the Quintesons.

Not to mention that, in the descriptions of the CinemaCon footage, while Optimus is having his street fight with Galvatron, Lockdown's ship arrives on the scene and Lockdown gets out to beat up and capture Optimus, accidentally scooping up Tessa as well.SKYWARPED_128 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:All past evidence (trailer footage, CinemaCon footage descriptions, etc.) points to Lockdown coming after Optimus.
That scene of Optimus hanging upside down in Lockdown's ship does make it pretty apparent.

Also, am I the only 1 who thinks of Neo when I see that shot of Crosshairs?

Sabrblade wrote:I just had a thought. If Lockdown really ins't a Decepticon like this article claims, then it's possible that this movie could really have no Decepticons in it at all.
Just human antagonists, manmade Transformers, and Lockdown the neutrally-aligned bounty hunter.
How do you know those are Decepticon ships? If they're affiliated with Lockdown, they could possibly be aligned with his mysterious benefactor(s) as well.SlyTF1 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:I just had a thought. What about those Decepticon ships Crosshairs and Bumblebee were fighting?

Ships themselves cannot choose sides if they're not alive.SlyTF1 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:How do you know those are Decepticon ships? Then we would have two Cliffjumpers.Metro Prime wrote:Stinger's image is literally the exact same as Bumblebee's, except mirrored and red.
Hmm... I just had an idea. If Galvatron rebels against his human masters, what if Stinger rebels, changes his name to Cliffjumper, and becomes an Autobot?
