I modified the code a little bit and tested it in IE8. Works fine now. Does it work for you now?

I also changed the smilies around, decreased the font size of the BB Code buttons, and decreased the height of the text area when adding / editing a post.

I haven't programmed the new functionality yet with the news posts. You currently have to do it one way for the forums and one way for the news section. I'll do my best to address these issues soon.

It did!
The YouTube bit doesn't work but that's simply because I have Flash and Java and whatnot turned off in IE.

The News Staff will be happy with this information. I think I've got all of the new BBCodes working with the news section now as well. This change also fixed some other inherent problems with the forums to news conversion process as well that should make the News Staff's lives a lot easier.
