Over at Chinese auction website - taobao.com, the seller "nihaohuwen" has listed a new auction for the upcoming Transformers Dark Of The Moon Deluxe Class Optimus Prime.
The new image showcased Optimus Prime in his alternate mode and with the brand new Mech-Tech weapon.

If THIS is what Hasbro is counting on to sell like hotcakes and turn around bad sales figures, they're going to find themselves reeling backwards with a bloody nose. Just like they did after the disaster that is the 'Crapper-Crap Comcrapper' line.

They really think that these ugly folding bricks that you jam onto the toys are 'cool'? Are 'mech tech' weapons really the ace up their sleeve that they think are the perfect counter to a global recession brought on by bad economic policies...?

I don't know why everyone's hating on this; I'm lovin' it! I LOVE movie Prime, but I don't love paying an arm and a leg for Voyagers and Leaders. I've always wanted a Deluxe-scale one, other than activators and his proto-form toy, and here one is at last!

I agree that $20-$22 is WAY TOO MUCH to pay for movieverse stuff, however, this is the 237th version of movie prime. It's smaller and almost certainly, less complicated than it's predecessors. It has a ridiculous plastic stool sample for a weapon. This will appeal to cheap parents with whiny kids and that is all. Oh yea, and yourself.

u know if you've never had an optimus prime this one is the newest and for a kid it would be awesome how many people have never had a perceptor before? i bet that new one looks amazing to you . it does to me. so much i payed 20 bucks for it on ebay. whats awesome is in the eye of the beholder an for a little kid a new optimus with a giant gun is awesome and for 10- 12 bucks parents will eat it up too.this new line is buisness smart but not much i'm interested in.

Why do all the DOTM figures look like KOs? The paints aps are god awful. What little hope i still had in hasbro is just about gone, with all the price gouging, lack of figures, TF Prime, the lack luster DOTM line im to the point where im just gonna stop caring about the franchise. Im probably going to boycott the DOTM line cause it just looks bad and its one of the main reasons why most of us havent seen the last waves of generations and the other current lines. Sure one person not buying figures wont do much but at least ill feel a little better.

im not holding my breath this version will have trailer included some how but i will wait t o see what bot mode looks like first to pass judgement.

right now only prime im gettting in movieverse is takara voyager prime

Why is everybody hating on this?
It's not bad for a deluxe class version of Movie Prime and it looks way better than the deluxe class Classics Prime. The Mechtech gun looks ****, but who knows painted black and gold it might looks pretty bad-ass.

I guess, if you like trucks with oversized wierd objects on their roof driving around. Looks too toyish at this point. Weapon integration into a fluent vehicle mode is engineering genius. This just looks half assed and TOO toyish for someone like me who figures himself a more realistic, or aestheticly pleasing collector. On a wierd a$$ side note, i just had a dream where Blackout was chasing me... actually, the second one I've ever had where he was chasing me. Started in my room as i peaked out and saw devastation outside, and then I had to keep running and trying to jack cars to drive away from him and his guns... Then Breakdown started chasing me on the road. And the wierd thing is, in the dream, I was going, "this is a dream, wake up"..but then i couldn't, as if it really WASN'T a dream.
Sorry for the tangent, it was just cool in a really scary way.

Hang-on! isn't that skids/mudflaps (forgot which) Mechtech gun? Makes me wonder if the seller stole aquired prime without weapons and just added a gun from the twin. :-?

Well the entire line has these stupid weapons, besides you can always chuck them. The thing is, if I'm getting this it will be in the 2 pack set with the G1 Prime reissue. That version comes with a trailer, a trailer I bet can hide that thing within, after all it's a box. :lol:
