Whats the face? G1 Prime had a more realistic semi mode than MP-01.

That's because they where going for a toon accurate bot-mode, with extra detailing.

But man I love this version so much more than the original, just think about displaying this next to MP01 and THS02!
Also, these pix look like high res versions of the first ones we got from that magazine.

If the only thing putting people off is the Autobot symbol on the trailer sides, I'm fairly sure Reprolabels will have you all covered not long after it gets released.

It's growing on me, but I'm still not convinced that it's worth that much. But then, I couldn't afford MP-09 Rodimus either.

I'm pretty convinced that Hasbro will be bringing this guy over too, minus the trailer, just like with Rodimus, so that's probably the version I'll get. Hopefully that also means he'll have a nice bonus like Rodimus's Targetmaster. Maybe Roller as a Targetmaster? Either way, it's looking very nice. Hopefully the Masterpiece line continues with this smaller scale since Rodimus, MP-10 Optimus, the seekers (although the molds could be a bit better) and Grimlock (although he's a bit too small to be in scale with the rest), or rather, adjust scale appropriately with Optimus and Rodimus as the standard or the figures they look to for scale.

Looks amazing, I'll probably end up getting this. If I do, this will be my playtime Prime, while 20th Prime may go on display. Looks like this one will be in better scale with Classics toys and MP Seekers. Plus, I kind of like the idea of an Optimus that is smaller than Megatron (ala Animated).

This thing looks amazing. The semi-mode is awesome to look at. Bot mode, while amazing itself, looks kind of off to me. He looks like he's a little bit squat/short. Anyone else seeing what I mean? Either way, way overpriced for me.

Yeah, he is a bit stocky but then I always thought the MP-01 was too elongated, so go figure. MP-10 could do with perhaps slightly longer legs but the HTS-02 is also rather stocky and I personally think that is the best Prime ever. If they were to just scale that mold up I'd probably do a little happy dance. :KREMZEEK:

Right...all the early G1 alt modes looked good and realistic. But guess which mode was highly compromised to accommodate all those great alt modes?

Until you transformed him to alt mode and saw one of the worst Primes ever...

There's almost always a sacrifie. But I'll always lean towards a badass robot mode cuz alt modes almost never re-emerge in my collection. Though I have to say that TF United Jazz is a prime example (pun unintended) of perfection in both modes. :APPLAUSE:

I will buy a full out US release of this. Takara doesn't get my faithful purchase after F'ing up Rodimus and reselling me a Masterpiece toy I bought twice in the past seven years.

Leetle baybeh gunz! Nah, this MP still looks awesome to me. The old MP Prime may have been more "show accurate" but visually it just looked like to much of a big ugly block to me. This is more up my ally, and it wont be gigantic and out of scale to boot.

Just wish the slagging US releases would stop leaving stuff out! These are meant for collectors anyway! Why cut stuff out so the kiddies can afford it with their allowance money? :-?
