Amazon Japan has posted images of Takara Tomy's Autobot Alliance Terradive, Tomahawk, Highbrow and Hailstorm. The figure are very similar to their HFTD counterparts. The main differences are red highlights on Terradive's wings instead of white and Hailstorm is a more drab, military green. Click on the images below for a link to each of the listings. Nothing worth the extra money in my opinion. It is nice when they make the tank treads black like they are supposed to be, but no "I gotta have it feeling" is sinking in. Picked up the Hasbro versions for 9 bucks and 16 bucks for Highbrow at Wal-Mart on Saturday. I dont like the red on Terradive. The white wing tips look better now Feareswoop has a wing mate. I passed on Tomahawk all together cause the face is too cartoonish for the movie line.

I'm not really liking the hunter orange on Terradive. Tomahawk, like the Hasbro version is pure win for me. I really like their Hailstorm as well. I don't notice much difference on Highbrow. Hopefully, Hasbro's versions will start showing up in retail around here soon. Just saw the first of wave two last weekend.

That's a very nice Hailstorm. I may just have to get that one.

I still have not found either Tomahawk or Terradive in any store. Almost worth paying $15 for 'em. Got myself a hailstorm the other day and missed out on a dirge. =\

Color aside I really recommend Terradive, IMO he's one of the best TFs in recent years. Maybe ever.

It's a cool alt mode, but the bot mode just rules.

He really nails the combination of transforming toy with amazing robot action figure.

I thought Tomahawk would be the high point for me too, but I was a little disappointed in him. Not bad mind you, but not as fantastic as I was hoping. He's got a little more kibble than I thought and he just doesn't fit together as nicely as he looked in pics.

Not trying to badmouth the fig, it's nice, just not awesome.

Highbrow was great, better than expected, and I was expecting him to be really cool.

I really like Hailstorm, but he's pretty small.

I was warned but, a lot like TFA voyager Bulkhead, his diminutive size just looks out of place.

I'm gonna put him in with other military bots, where he'll be small but more appropriately scaled.

I'm really liking the dark grey belly on Highbrow versus Hasbro's light blue. But I just can't justify spending more than twice the price on it. Man... import prices are through the roof these days. A Japanese Voyager costs as much as a domestic Leader.

The rest are either not different enough, or in the case of Terradive, worse than Hasbro's.

So... many..awesome.... figures..... going...INSAANNEE!!

But really the best thing there is Hailstrorm, I actually prefer the lighter tones on Terradive. But Damn that Hailstorm is sick.
Tomahawk is too toyish lookin, and Highbrow would be great if his head wasn't garbage (well, it'd be passable if he didn't have to have flight goggles.. I mean.. wtf, why land such a human accessory on a robot??).

Eh...Takara still fails to impress me with these four. I don't know why but I just don't like these four in particular. I may get Tomahawk and Terradrive, but definitely not Hailstorm or Highbrow.

Gonna just get the Hasbro ones. I love Tomahawk and Highbrow except that is Tomahawk's face like that on the Hasbro one too with visible goofy eyes through the visor? If so I might remove that cos I don't like it at all. Visors look cooler when you can't see through them.

Terradive's robot mode puts me off him though. I just don't like it at all. Hailstorm is ok but just not that impressive or memorable.

Battle mask for Movie Bee? Mouthplate for Prime? It makes sense, from an armor standpoint.

The goggles add to Highbrow's charm in my opinion and suit him perfectly. I'm quite liking TF's who's robot forms seem somewhat inspired by human costumes that relate to the altform in some way like Highbrow here, Seaspray and it could be argued 2007 Arcee (she looks a bit biker-chick). He's definitely on my want list.

I just got the Takara Tomahawk. Does anyone know of any differences between the Hasbro and Takara versions? I don't see anything at first glance and don't want to open a sealed Takara one just to check the robot mode and then find out there's nothing different.

That was an ancient topic to get notified about. And it seems I was the last one who did before it's revival. Hm, I never did get Highbrow.

Did find Hailstorm in a charity shop for 50p minus his missiles though.

That's a great deal on the one you got for 50p! If you watch for parts lots on eBay, you might come across one that has them.

I just pulled out my HFTD Tomahawk and can't tell any differences in vehicle mode. If there are none in robot mode, I'll just list the item in the Seibertron.com Store on eBay.

Better wait on that, I just found a blog post by Alfes2010 detailing Autobot Alliance Tomahawk, along with comparisons with the US version:

The difference overall is very minute, and only really visible in Robot Mode with the greys and blacks used.
