As awesome as he looks, I won't get him or Megatron if there is even news of a Leader class figure for both. Guess I'm just nit-picky about how the leader villains should get a leader class figure.

Clearly I'm in the minority on this one; but I'm just not digging this Shockwave.

He's not all bad. I really like the callback to G1 Shockwave's wire-hiding hose. But the bot looks too stocky; Shockwave has typically been rather tall and lean looking. And ribcage chest does nothing to recall G1 Shockwave's signature light-bar chest.

And the alt mode? Wow... It's just a complete mess.

If you compare this character design to WFC Shockwave, DOTM Shockwave looks really weak. Now, I get that's not a completely fair comparison because we don't have an actual WFC Shockwave toy to compare to. Still, WFC Shockwave gets more of the key character cues right.

12 months from now Hasbro might release DOTM Shockwave in Leader Class :sad:

I want one now to stand up with Sentinel Prime :sad:

looks like a nice figure but I'm sick and tired of Hasbro and the Bay movie designers getting lazy and just making any big villain a tank. Lets get more creative.
