I know what you mean. It's called "Jailbait" for a reason. Is it too much to ask that when you make a female character attractive, you also make it so people don't have go to prison for their thoughts?
Though there's also the whole idea of letting 10-year-olds travel all across the country, on foot, alone, to capture highly deadly wild animals as well as going into combat with various criminal organizations.

Awww, don't worry, fanart is a healthy part of every fandom, and we would be lost without it.
I mean, how would I go on living without Gardevoir's Jigglypuffs?

What's more worrying is that the police don't seem to be able to do the job that a ten year old does all by his/herself.

In the first game, you diffuse a hostage situation at the headquarters of a major corporation (responsible for manufacturing Pokeballs, no less!) all by your self, and last I checked, you don't get a whole lot of credit for it.

It's a pig, a beaver and... Excalibur. Maybe.

I've already picked out a name for the pig starter when I get it. "P-Chan".
As long as it maintains the nose shape, I'll name the grass starter "Excalibur".
As for the water starter... I have no idea what I'll call it. I'll have to see the final evolution before I make that choice.
Also, I really like the new female trainer, especially the hair. Conversely, I hate the male's hair. Blech! Though I will go with the male trainer as always...
I'm really excited about all this in general though. Can't wait for the games to come out in Japan and I can start collecting monsters to trade over to the US games when they're released.

Not only that, but this opens a whole new realm of pork-based puns. I don't usually rename my Pokemon, but I feel I may need to name him "Baconator."

The only one I really have no clue about is the water starter. It'll be a nice surprise to see how it turns out I suppose! You never know, it might be awesome in the end.

As for Gen. V, I hope of the following:
--Water resists Rock
When small rocks are thrown into the water surface, the small rocks bounce off, as if it's being deflected. Also, when a big rock gets thrown into a small pond, the water just splashes off, and it's still water.
--Rock resists Ice
When I threw a chunk of Ice on a rock, the latter didn't shatter.
--Ice immune from Electric

--Ground resists itself
Every time an earthquake occurs, land just mixes with itself, am I right?
--These following type combinations
1. Psychic/Dark. For the longest time, I've held the belief that there's an insider bias, in favor of Psychic-types, in Game Freak offices. First ubers were Psychic; first cute legendary was a Psychic.
With this, it just tells me that the bias is over.
2. Normal/Ghost. I have a bias in favor of 1-weakness Pokemon.
--New Evos
1. Skarmory evo with either Flash Fire or Volt Absorb.
2. Weezing evo into Poison/Dark, while getting BST of 595 and maintaining Levitate.

Skarmory is already one of the best Pokemon in the game with a whopping ELEVEN resistances and immunities, and you want to eliminate one of the two weaknesses it has?

We've had a chicken that could cook itself as a starter, too. And... a flaming poo monkey...
Loving the starters. I think I shall name the pig Chris P. Bacon

Oh yeah, actually Torchic and Chimchar were my picks. Actually, so was Cyndaquil...huh, I think I prefer fire-types.
No, no strategy to my picks, ever. The best ones are the ones that look the coolest.

1. The suggestions I made are independent of a new type. Also, no, I still want to see that immunity kept, since it means a lot (read: Psychics, being gamebreakers).
2. Some people whom I asked somewhere else told me only one word: "UBER!"

Psychics as they stand today:
Strong Against: Poison, Fighting
Ineffective Against: Psychic, Steel, Dark
Resists: Fighting, Psychic
Weak Against: Bug, Ghost, Dark
All three types they are weak against have powerful (and common) moves to use against Psychics. Shadow Ball, X-Scissor, Dark Pulse, Silver Wind, to name just a few.
Psychics are actually a bad type these days, Ubers not withstanding, even Alakazam, with its amazing Speed and Special Attack, can't compete any more because of its horrible defensive stats.
To the point, even changing the Dark immunity to a resist would not help Psychics regain any semblance of their former power, simply because the odds are stacked so heavily against them now.
The only thing it would accomplish is creating a solid type triangle between Psychic, Dark, and Fighting, which is what I want. So there could be a dual type triangle between future starters. E.g. Fire/Dark <-> Grass/Fighting <-> Water/Psychic. Which would be a great combination for a trio of final evolution starters. That is my sole motivation.
