I forgot to say this before, but I think the only reason they have the "wild card vote" is because Hasbro is trying their best to push Deathsaurus through because they have plans for fiction with him. Either that or they just really love Burn.

Sorry, Burn, (if you're talking to me).
Although, I don't quite understand what was off topic in my post, (reacting to SillySpringer's suggestion for what StarSaber's Prime name should be, and just making a quick Braingate joke ((not meant to be a reference to current politics)) but I still apologize.
Anyway, moving more directly on topic, I'm disappointed by UM being chosen, as much as I love him, considering we just got a pretty good toy of him. I his have much preferred Hound, with more G1-styled toy than the CW version.

Of course they have plans. This is the joke, we're expected to believe we actually have an input into this.
Throwing Star Sabre and Deathsaurus into Earth Wars was out of left field, but when you factor in this "vote" it's suddenly not so left field, it's generating interest in two some what lesser known characters.

Or, because he had the most votes out of the losers.
Maybe all of the above? Maybe none. Maybe the person in charge of the vote just really likes Deathsaurus.

I really doubt he had the most votes out of the losers compared to say Megatron or Arcee.
I think the wild card placement was always meant to have him if he did not win the Chaos vote I also doubt there would be a wild card category if he did win the chaos vote.

I'd doubt it too... but then Star Saber won over Megatron. The obscure Japanese-exclusive guy from one series in the 90s won over the consistent villain of the entire franchise since 1984.
So at this point anything can happen

Well yeah did not think about Star Saber winning over Megatron.
Although I think the existence of Star Saber is not that obscure I knew about him for years even without being a hardcore fan. (I'm not actually that hardcore still)

Most people into the fandom would know him, but I'm talking more about the average casual fan that vaguely remember that cartoon from the 80s being the best thing they've ever seen or only like the Bay movies. Generally neither would know about (never mind liking) the likes of Star Saber. He ain't exactly mainstream, so that's why it's surprising to me over two G1 Season 1 characters.

I plan to alternate my votes this round between Deathsaurus and Optimus Primal. BRING ON THE BEASTS! Either we get a calculated villainous leader of Cybertron, or a guy who studied from the book of Prime but has more trouble rallying his troops. And both tell Hasbro that I want some more animalian Transformers.

Most of the time those kinds of fans don't like bad guys and since the other two were bad guys that would probably leave Star Saber as the default vote plus maybe some of those fans might misremember Star Saber as being part of the cartoon especially if they don't do much research and simply look him up in google images and see an animated still from his cartoon.

Vote Primal! Why? Because sometimes crazy works.
But there's still Star Saber and "Wildcard" (Hai Deathsaurus) there... I'm so frikkin' torn.

Believe it or not, Star Saber is actually my second pick out of these guys. I just would have to ignore the IDW comics after that.

Pretty sure that Star Saber would be redeemed either by Matrix brainwashing or their going with the speculation that Star Saber is another body piloted by a small load-bearer like Ultra Magnus since he is Magnus successor that and he was a Brainmaster in the original toy and media.
Or this doesn't effect IDW at all and is just a toy thin.

Unknown Evil!
For the Same Reason I voted Hound, Unknown Evil and Shockwave in the first round.
I believe that this choice will create the most interesting stories. I mean the Matrix going to an Evil Character would upend just about everything I would think. None of the original choices given could be blander than the other three choices that made it through..."oh look! one of the leaders of the Autobots... is...leading...*snore*"
Also, to make art imitate life.

Really want Deathsaurus to win. But if not him then Star Saber would be a suitable choice. I'm not one to shout rigged voting or anything BUT there is a rumour for a Titans return figure named Magnus Prime. So take that as you will.
