THIS!!!
Hound has the personality and stats of a true Prime like no one else on this list it would be a disservice for us to ignore that it would be a case of one of the averge guys bcomes another great leader like Optimus (Orion) and Rodimus (Hot Rod)
Vote for our new Prime Houndimus Prime (Hound) the kindest Prime of nature you will ever know
Sabrblade wrote:Apparently you're under some unprecendented impression that the Prime rank of IDW is some kind of Autobot-exclusive title and not instead a title that refer to Cybertron as a whole. The war is long over. The old military factions have no need anymore. Even before the war broke out was the Prime rank a title for Cybertronian authority rather than specifically for the Autobot faction.

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

Woah, I'm so glad I'm not alone! Hound was my first Generation 1 style figure, and I've always loved the character. Would it be okay for me to include the link to that image in my signature?

Hence:Q: Dear Vector Prime,
Has the Matrix of Leadership ever chosen a Decepticon as a Prime? I mean does the Prime always have to be an Autobot?

A: Dear Chosen Castigator,
It is rare, but it has been known to happen. Thunderwing was chosen in Primax 984.0 Gamma when the Matrix became corrupted.

1. Out of the nine figure designs, only one will see the light of day.
2. The voting is rigged, and only the "winner" is being designed.

Regardless, if the figure is to come out in 2018, and it will be revealed in early 2017, then some work will had to have been done on all of them, as the development cycle of a TF figure is about 2 years.Erimus Prime wrote:Autobot N wrote:Notice that the voting starts in January and the reveal is in February. The winner will be revealed in February. This doesn't necessarily mean that their toy will be revealed that day. Like how they announced Trypticon won the last poll, but they still haven't shown his toy. So nothing rigged if it's like the last poll.

It still chose Thunderwing.Deadput wrote:Sabr I recall that the Matrix was corrupted in the comics and Thunderwing is no Prime he is a pretender literately.
Creation Matrix. It had no faction in its name.Deadput wrote:That was the Autobot matrix in that continuity anyways.

Because the Matrix was corrupted which is my point he was chosen but he did not become a prime.
Did Scourge become a Prime in G1 cartoon?Sabrblade wrote:

It did in the 1986 movie or at least was refereed to as the Autobot matrix of Leadership
You can vote for him that's your choice but the day a Decepticon becomes a Prime and ruins all meaning of being a true Prime is the day I quit this fandom for good.
Kurona wrote:Once again, I fail to see any mention of the Matrix as it is choosing a Decepticon.
Why can't it be the Matrix being corrupted like with Thunderwing in Marvel?
Why can't it be the Decepticon stealing the matrix and touting it around like with Starscream in IDW?
Why can't it be anything else that would land them with the matrix other than the matrix choosing them?
If the poll chooses a 'con, there'll be some reasoning for it in-story.

Dude... we're talking about a comic book series and line of children's toys. It's not like you're picking the next Pope or something. Lighten up.Deadput wrote:Because unless chosen in a natural matter they will become a fake Prime they are a fake pretender throwing the word Prime around and it is a disgrace for them to be on the same plain as true Primes such as Optimus or Rodimus.
The Matrix isn't the one doing the picking here. WE are. Us fans are the ones who get to decide. Our vote transcends any say that the Matrix has in this. It's our vote, not the Matrix's. It has no say in this matter. What we say is what it has to go with. This leader is usually chosen directly by the Matrix of Leadership, but the “Power of the Primes” fan vote will put the fans in command and give them the power to light the darkest hour and choose the bot to lead Cybertron into a historic new era.

The IDW adds the results from the toyline this vote is from not the other way around so forget about IDW which is not as grand as everyone says it is since it's becoming worse and worse ever since season 2 of the current series of comics began.
The point of this contest/vote will be lost if the results do not give a true prime and just some guy claiming to be one.
