Wow...another damn Prime ill have to get.......and on top of that im gettin the damn GoW2 set for Movie Prime i better save my damn money

Though I already have the first version, I might pick this one up as well and leave the original version combined with Jetfire.

OMG! I am so getting this one, even if it's not a US release! I bet he'll be on BBTS before long, and they sometimes have Japanese releases, right?

Wait, does this one even still have its swords? I can't tell from that pic.

That's pretty cool. Swords, gun, and a optional faceplate!

If they use a darker grey or silver plastic compared to the first release, I will gladly buy this figure again. I'll leave the origional one in alt mode!

Damn he looks bad ass. just wish they give him a silver paint job instead of dull grey.

Hopefully they make one with the blades and the guns.

Glad I waited. Now I'm waiting for "buster" Megatron or whatever they decide to call it.

this certainly raises the question...

will the ROTF Megatron Leader class be getting a new arm remold? Will he be getting the tank wings? What about his gimp arm, will that be remolded as well?

Only time will tell, but from what we have now seen, Takara Tomy is definitely in the business of revamping Hasbro designs into something it's adult market can sink their teeth into..

Henkei being a prime example..and now this..

I wonder??

Also I need to see more images of this figure and some final mock ups, before we can assert for sure what his final form will be..


What we DO NOT know for sure:

1. if his mouth plate is recessed and can cover his face?

2. If his colors will be bright silver, and chrome?

3. I can see his sword plates on his arm, but are unsure by the small image if they are indeed intact.. I would assume they are, but don't know for sure??

4. any other mold variations we are missing?

5. Is the voice Chip going to be the same as the U.S. release, as this is a Takara Release (which sounds very close to Peter Cullen's voice)

6. is this exclusive only to Japan, or will Hasbro bring it here to the U.S. under a "Premium" Line up?

7. with the tanks transforming into the Gun, will they be stable and fit snugly on his back when not in use? or will he suffer from Tank dropping syndrome?

8. Will the soft Rubber Smoke Stacks be replaced by Hard Plastic Chrome? What about the Window Shields, will they also be in chrome?

9. Will there be Gold Paint applications in specific areas, like so much of the customs do?

all unanswered questions raised by this possibly most sought after figure..if this Prime ends up being what we all hope.. it could easily surpass any known ROTF figure releases as the most highly anticipated toy of the year..I hope Takara knows how high the fan expectations are on them taking over and doing a redone Prime..

here's hoping they have plenty and do it right..

This guy looks awesome! The only two things I thought could improve the figure. And I think in the movie his guns are actually the tanks, because if you recall the first movie he puts his arm behind his back to get it, and you can see it transforming when he pulls it out.

I'm picking him up once more just for these. I wish they replace the swords with the hooks he used to rip off Grindor's face. That would be awesome to display.

I think so too, there are many images of him without the tanks hovering behind his back.. and the gun does look like the tiny toy images we have seen so far..

most of his digital images don't show tanks on his back, which makes this newer figure even more accurate to the movie then before.. and on top of that..

he's just brilliant!!!

I say we all pitch in 1.00 and buy Peter Cullen this new ultimate Optimus Prime figure, if it is that good.. and ship it to him courtesy of the Seibertron.com members and their love of his work.. all with a card using our signature images from this message board..with a big thank you..Or we can go cheap and print our screen names on a piece of paper and shove it in a large thank you card..

either way, it's not just the figure that makes me desire this toy, it is also due to Peter Cullen's giving me as a fan, the rebirth of Optimus Prime.. and the new design he breathed life into, which might possibly be represented in a format that is true to the movie, and the legacy Peter Cullen has given us all..

I think he deserves one of these from us..and nothing in return..

Heck I'd put up 5.00..if enough of us pitch it, that would cover the cost of the figure, and shipping.. and the whole thing would be worth it to make him smile and know we here at seibertron love this toy, and part of the love is due to him.. and his work..

Imagine that, Hasbro/Takara gives us an another upgraded version as a 2nd release, why can't they give us all the gimmicks the 1st time around? Not buying this one if it's relased in the US. Might just have to buy the "upgrade guns" for my ROTF Leader OP.

Is the gun in addition to or instead of the dual swords.

The upgrades make a great figure even greater.

Mind you I'm super pissed that I'll be dropping anotehr $50+ on the same figure.

Alright my apologies for the newb question, but I keep reading about TFC and GOW upgrade gun/sticker/accessory packages and was wondering where can I find them. Is there a company that makes accessory parts specifically for our TF toys? Also, does anyone have any links or whereabouts to a ROTF Leader Optimus that has been repainted to be more accurate? I just got my Leader Optimus a couple weeks ago and I want to customize him with a little bit of repainting on certain parts and some extra weapons. I was fine untill I saw this second addition Optimus, now I want the one I have to be more like this. Thank you!

TFCToy Upgrades for RotF Prime will likely be available at bigbadtoystore.com.

Leader Prime will most likely be repainted in the near future for mass release.
