I like how you insult me, while at the same time implying that I'm trying to push my opinion on other people, when anyone with better thought processes than a peanut can see that I'm not.
Also, your pointless joke would be much better if I hadn't heard it oh so many times before.

Leige Evilmus you are so right.
Shadowman remain a God. You know your opinion is law.

Because he was sick of being typecast as Megatron?
And Corey Burton is doing Megatron.

Video game. Not sure why you are comparing video games to cartoons that get produced quite quickly compared to a video game.Liege Evilmus wrote:I hope you see the point I'm trying to make, we can have better, so why not demand it!?!
In your opinion, we could have better. In my opinion, this is fine and something different then the crap (again, my personal taste and opinion) we've been thrown since after Beast Machines was out.
And, well, there are more kids out there that don't have parents or older brothers/sisters/uncles/aunts who are into transformers and can *sway* their opinion on the new cartoon, so that really does not matter. What does matter, is the mass population of kids that is is targeting (6-11), who don't have anyone older then them that like Transformers.
Plus I don't think we need to bring up that this style of animation it seen all over the place and seems to be the *cool stuff* that kids watch today, so again, our tastes and opinions don't really matter.
I hate that blurred/speedy crap they do when they are trying to show fast moving action or something, I hate that crap, BUT, I will still watch it, if they have some slower moments!

First off (and thanks for looking) I intentionaly showed a video game clip to show the extent of detail that could have gone into recent CG shows like Cybertron. It was a strech that I hoped more folks would have caught onto, especial with how old that particular game is now.
We should be moving on from there. You refrenced the Beast Era, even if you disagree with me, I hope you see my point at least there.
As for this current series, yes this amimation style is all over the place, and whenever that happens, history has proven that you should just get ready for more of the same. If you hate that High speed fast action stuff, well add goofy to it and get ready, cause my friend, here it comes!
And to everyone who sayes that the collectors oppinion doesn't matter, I can't disagree more. Case in point and this is only one istance, twice a week I run into a guy named Lamarr at work. each time I see him we drop everything and talk TFs, not for his sake, but for his son whomb I never met once.
And just to further the point if Hasbro realy only cares about its target market of CHILDREN, why the hell are Classics returning with OCTAINE!?!
He isn't popular with kids, and hasn't been in a show in some 20yrs. Don't underestimate yourselves here. Kids may get 2-10 bots a year, and normaly the cheap ones as collectors tend to get them all!
Don't think they don't know this and count your money in advance as they plan new lines, hence my point of wanting more bang for my buck!

The man makes a very compelling arguement.
Think. How many times, when you do your transformers shopping, do you see children in the aisles? When you do seem them, how many? Are they actually buying tfs, or the Star Wars crap next door?
I seriously doubt that kids buy more tfs than collectors. Everyday I will go onto this site, and read about collectors buying hundreds of pounds worth of tf goodness 'on a whim'. Children, especially in the 6-13 range have very little money, and pretty much rely on birthdays and christmas for toy money. Collectors, being mostly older and mostly holding down jobs to fuel their hobby, have a lot more moolah to spend on toys.
So really, who do you think spends more money on toys in a year? A 7 year old, or a 34 year old that works as a police officer, accountant or even a cleaner?
Style does not denote age. And from the intricacies shown here, the back log of info put into this shows an adherance to all walks of age. A good writer does not need to resort to gritty shock value to be 'adult.'
Titans had a rape episode among other adult nods, Animaniacs was full of adult humor, and even Foster's or JLU had pure adult implied moments.
Which of those is a direct 'adult' toon not aimed at kids?
Yet are still highly entertaining to adults, while having adult stories within the context of what looks like a simplistic 'child's story'.

I'm an artist myself, and very well educated. We've been civil in our transactions here and I respect you for it, don't make me loss that respect over what someone else wrote.
As I've stated, I liked Teen Titans, it did get old though, because when the stories started to fizzle they started relying to much on the cartoonie edge that initialy was incorporated to enhance certain moods.
That show went down hill when the joke became the norm, and the writing became lax.
Now, keeping in mind that I do have a respect for this animation style. So, I ask you, the drawing that you use for a signature pic is very elaborate and well detailed. The excessive lines add depth, detail, and character, to what is basicly a drawing.
Tell me yes or no, do you think this show would look better if they went the extra mile and incorporated some of those same details to add and enhance these characters?

Do you're best, but your not getting the point, look at the design not the style.
As for me refrencing your sig pic, you use it therefore you must like it, and you can't tell me the details don't make it better than just a flat drawing.
I'm not questioning your tastes or saying that your opinion is wrong. I'm just saying that this same style, as with any style, could and should be improved upon from what was done yesterday. If Teen Titans and Ben10 are great, then this should be astounding!
