william-james88 wrote:We had previously reported on a new Transformers "cyber" line which featured simplified Transformers toys of G1 characters. These came in 11 and 7 inches (each had their own Bumblebee). The facebook page Cybergeek's alliance has new images featuring all 7 inch figures from this new Cyber Battalion line (which were initially from the Transformers Columbia facebook page). Below you will see images of Cyber Battalion ______ inch Megatron, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Optimus (first time we see him) and Starscream which happens to the same mold previously found as a prototype at the Children's Museum exhibit. This confirms that the prototype found there was of an upcoming figure instead of a discarded one. Images of the boxes are also available, and each lets us know how many steps are involved in transforming the figure. Please give us your thoughts on this new line now that we have clearer images (mirrored below).

Well I am Australian. It's kinda what we're known for.
Not a fan of combiner wars deluxes I assume.william-james88 wrote:I personally dont mind if they have simplified transformations. What bothers me is that it looks like they have a severe lack of articulation. Wrist articulation is obviously 0 here.
prjkt wrote:That starscream actually looks really good. Not G1 perfect, but still pretty close. Obviously doesn't have the Null Rays from the prototype image, but I'd probably still pick this guy up.

Prime looks incredibly ... unoriginal. Megatron however looks great.
Grimlock has knees. If you look at how his legs transform into his alt mode, they fold up. Also, Megatron has bent knees in one picture, straight in the other. Could be paint, but Starscream and Bumblebee both have different color thighs than lower legs. Looking at the prototype images, it doesn't look like Starscream has knees, though.Tsutsukakushi wrote::lol: Not seeing any Knee articulation on any of these.

The Prime looks a bit like they took the Legends Prime transformation and attached it to an upscaled figure. Agreed, not very original.

Don't think the Truck cab vehicle Optimus uses offers that much creativity for newer toys.
Burn wrote:Reason for calling Prime unoriginal?
Because it's far too similar to Generations Legends Class Prime.
