They don't turn into either, really, IMO. They just turn into simple 3D geometric shapes.

I've seen those for sale in China, in the series of undersized combiners with the blue cardbacks, but never got him yet.

The white and blue plane is a KO of Cybertron Mini-Con Overcast, while the helicopter is a so-called "Frankenbot": he has the body of Micromaster Chain Gun of the Japanese Sixwing Team, but has C-Overcast's arms. He has more alterations done, mind you. Here's an image of the original mold, as Universe Ro-Tor:

Ok, i might be tooooo late for this, but it seems no one has asked this,...WHERE do I buy that wonderful drill dude? (I wanna repaint him SO freaking badly)

I've done a little research. Well the drill guy is from a a series called Brave Exkaiser, and he was part of a team that could combine to form God Max, the drill dudes name is Drill Max.....and the regular toy of him is EXPENSIVE.....well not drastic, but more than I'm willing to spend.

Anyone have any CLUE where I can get the knock off version of Drill Max from?

I picked up a KO of him a few years ago at a Big Lots in Columbus. You might want to try one near you. If they don't have any, Tuesday Morning is a good place for KOs.
