I bought 2 of these guys from this ebay seller in China. It's a Gen-2 Laser Optimus done as the 2007 movie colors. It is actually pretty decent. A chromed grill. It looks hand painted in some areas..Some sloppy aps here and there..The stickers are blah at best..The chest ones, that normally say "Optimus Prime" have that, reversed colors, and it's backwards, "Prime Optimus"--clever. They did a nice job though of doing the flame decal on it. The plastic is really nice, not official quality, and the joints are some what loose, but, it isn't fragile by any means. No trailer, or gun, but it does come with the sword. I think I'm gonna take this one and repaint a robot mode to make it look more movie like.






I plan on picking up a few more of the KO ones as well..While cheap..I kinda think they're pretty cool.

That sounds awesome. Could the quality of this KO be similar to a real Hasbro/Takara TF? After all, that is a hefty pricetag for a KO.

Saw some KO supercon Primes at Big Lots the other day, some were actually close to the correct red/blue color, some were yellow, all had yellow heads. The interesting thing was that they all had different rear ends... a cement mixer, a crane, a dump truck, a garbage truck

I missed out b/c I didn't have my camera and didn't want to shell $2.50 for each.

In afterthought, I might go back and get the cement mixer one and somehow repaint/kitbash it into a Scourge w/ the cement mixer part as his tanker.

Be sure to post your results. Might be worth doing.

What I find interesting about this figure, is all the trouble they went to make the truck mode match the movie is hidden by packaging it in robot form.

They cheaped out on the Optimus there... it's got starscream's body with a different chest piece and head.

Saw someone mention ko alts. Here is White Hound. I got it from an ebay seller called kenscollection in Hongkong.

I added the autobot symbol from a reprolabels sheet

The only fault i have with it is that the waist is a little loose and it scratches easily. Other than that its great

I live in Melbourne,FL.and the Big Lots here has started selling over-sized K.O.mini-cons.The quality of the plastic is actually pretty good and they look and transform almost exactly like the smaller ones.These figures also have a good potentional for customizing.I apologize for the lack of pictures.

I think the seller i bought it from also had Sideswipe in white. He's not listed on Ebay anymore but his website is under construction. http://www.kenscollection.com. The company that makes these ko's is called A&L but a quick google yielded no results

I've got Fort Max, Superion, Defensor, Devastator, Bruticus and Menasor. They're okay as boosters for the WST line but nothing all that special quality wise. The joints on the gestalts are a bit tighter than some of the larger KO versions which helps, although my Max is a bit floppy. The Scramble style combiners don't have fully interchangable limbs, the arms can only be arms and the legs can only be legs. While the limb-bots are a goodish match for WSTs the torsobots tower over them, but this is far less of a problem if you plan on keeping them in combined mode. As with other KO versions of the Stunticons a couple of the cars are replaced by random Technobots. The labels are of the "cheap and likely to come off" variety and are usually poorly applied, I've removed them from all of mine except Defensor and I'll probably take those off at some stage (kind of regret removing the purple stripes from Motormaster's truck mode though). The Liokaiser I've avoided because it replaces one of the jet arms with some sort of tank, I've gone with a KO Kabaya Liokaiser to go with my WSTs instead.

They're far from perfect but do make good boosters for a line that died too young. If you're planning on playing with them a lot then they're not the greatest thing in the world, if you just want to display them alongside the WSTs then you should probably go for it.

Reprolabels have done a set at this size for Superion, so other reduced size sets for these KOs may well be forthcoming somewhere down the line, which would add to their asthetic value considerably. Hope that's of some help.

Does anyone know if there is a new KO of G1 Swerve (the minibot)? I've seen a couple popup on E-Bay either MOSC or sealed in the bubble with the card cut out around the bubble. I've also seen a Tailgate and Pipes cut out in the same manner. All the sellers have been in the US.
