VaultKeeper wrote:Hi everyone,
First time post here too for me.
I recieved my G1 accurate Shockwave knock off this morning and I have to say I am
VERY impressed ! The electronics work fine and the whole feel of the figure is
of exceptional quality, better than the recent Cassette Encore reissue and the re release of Sunstorm, both from Takara !
The only issue with it is the loose joints, however I have an old Shack-Wave I can use for
the "Ratchet" joints.
If anyone is on a tight budget I would reccomend these knock - off's, they are filling a gap in the market that Hasbro more than Takara are wrongly ignoring. If Hasbro cannot get off their arse and sort out the legal issues and give the fans what they want after 25 years of loyalty then Sc*ew them !
VaultKeeper wrote:That's a fair comment, if they have already looked into the legal issue on this then i suppose their hands are tied. Who owns the rights to this mould then, I assume that Hasbro own the likeness and name rights for the figure ? And if Hasbro do not hold legal rights over it is it technically classed as a knock - off ?
I appologies if I came across as angry trans fan, was not my intention.
I thank Hasbro for 25 years of great merchandise, I got my first Transformer back in 1984 and loved them since. But, as a U.K fan we do tend to get sc*ewd on the figure front.
Come on Hasbro U.K, get the message !
