If they used the comics for source material and then made the show have that same sense of maturity it would be great. However at the end of the day I think Hasbro believes that the older fans are gonna buy whatever they shell out just because we're collectors and the bigger base to concentrate on are the kiddies. At the end of the day can we blame them? After all collectible is just a mature word for toy right?

or instead of always creating new shows from scratch, do what they did with TMNT and He-Man, take the original show and just update/reboot it. again it could open the door for Cullen's return.
1) If they do a series based on the movies then they would have to share profits with Paramount, in other words, it's not in their best financial business.
2) It's been done already see http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Generation_2_(cartoon)

I'm guessing you never watched the G2 cartoon. It wasn't an update, it was the same cartoon with stupid cg scene transitions added in. If anything I would consider Animated to be close to the type of update Bouncy X is describing.

I keep hearing people say this. I believe that if they do that we will end up with more haters than Animated did. Seriously, it's a kid's show/toyline. To me personally that's it's biggest appeal, it takes me back to when I was a kid and TF just started. Makes me remember when the only thing I had to worry about was if my father's mustang was a Decepticon in hiding. But that's just me.

Editor wrote:As a point of clarification, Rainmaker (the current name for the studio, that was Mainframe) has been working on a new Reboot project and the art so far is excellent and beyond where they used to be. If the same tech was applied to a new TF series it would be quite good.
