I don't have much history with them either. I had Onslaught as a kid and I remember that being a fun toy.

I was only going to get Brawl and Swindle, but after I skimmed Ryan's video review Bruticus was going to be mine. He looks really really good. The colors on the individual members are phenomenal.

Even the repaints look good; Nemesis Bravo and Coco Slinger as I've taken to calling them.

The only combiners I had as a kiddo was Defensor and Devastator. The CW line has been a ton of fun and a nice little stroll down memory lane.

I'm pretty easy to please most of the time. I think Brawl looks great and I'm able to pose him just fine. I can't wait to form the big guy.

Had enough of the new Combaticons yet? Yeah, me neither. Here is something crazy, I think Bruticus is my favorite combiner yet. Something just really works here. Colors, bot assortment, solid torso, all of the above? Who cares, Bruts is awesome. Feast your eyes on some new pics.

Had to crop some unsightly cardboard out of some of those images. I needs to build a bigger light box.

I've been sooo tempted just to pick this set up until takaras release but i managged to hold off .

It's a really great set. Takara is going have to really up their game to improve on this one. A space shuttle will probably do it.

I think I pointed that out too, the only full teams I had were Devastator and Defensor. I have Silverbolt and one other Aerialbot, and then Scattershot by himself, and one of the Seacons and two Terrorcons.

Seeing CW Bruticus fully assembled really makes me want to blow up FoC Bruticus.

And then melt him down.

And then solidify the remnants.

And then blow it up again.

Been busy at work so I've only had time to lurk. I missed out on the flurry of activity yesterday. I've been geeking out on Bruticus hard lately and with everyone getting Taks Devy I got inspired to put him back together. Devs is such a fun toy. Anyway, snapped a quick pic before hitting the road. So, watch out for these bruisers.

Bruts is easily my favorite scrambler and possibly favorite overall combiner.

Devs is fun to build and menace other figures with, but I find the Constructicons a little boring. Their alt modes are killer though.

The Combaticons just look really good together; combined or as a team.

As far as strolling into the house with $85 worth of olastic; YMMV. :lol:

Oh it would be plenty more than $85 if I picked up ALL of the CW torsos/limbs :lol:

I have Devastator. And CW Optimus Prime. I'd really only buy Superion, Defensor, Cyclonus and the Stunticons (no Motor Master though, take that continuity!!), and maybe the other Autobot limbs for Prime, and the Combaticons, and then Sky Lynx and his limbs next year.

So, what, $300? Sure why not. All at once. Go big or go home :lol:

Here is something a little different from me. I've never really liked the hand/foot things that come with the limb bots. I've had a little pipe dream in my head for some time now and decided today was the day to put metal to plastic.

It could use a little work and some finer sandpaper and I lost the fold up for vehicle mode function (that's one of the reasons I choose to use this particular hand) but I'm very happy with the results.

Thanks guys. I finally got up the courage to possibly destroy a toy part. I used the extra one that came with Wildrider.

I'd like to work up a 2.0 version where the fingers can fold back into the fist. But I've done enough chopping for today. I still got a little carpentry and automotive work I need to take care of before the work week starts. :-(
