Swerve is a junkie, what can ya do? He says that he's self medicating cause he hangs out with me.
pfft!
I stay in a lot of hotels and this is the first no weed warning I've seen. Must be a sign of changing times.
Not that graffiti stops signs are rare, but I've stumbled a cross a few choice ones in my travels. We've got a pic of one like this we've turned into a fridge magnet. If I remember, I'll have Swerve will snap a selfie with it when we get home.
Having Mary Jane legal in Oregon is nice, but it's still not acceptable by the mainstream - you must prefer hoppy beers. I do enjoy liquor but alcohol just makes me sleepy.
I dunno, I still am quite happy in the straightedgedness of my ways - though do agree on wider legalisation of cannabis, worldwide. Even if just for social justice and environmental reasons, not necessarily medical or recreational.
So if anyone is familiar with southern Louisiana you know it Carnival time (aka Mardi Gras) Time to show your chi chi's, get some beads and eat some king cake What exactly is king cake you ask? Well it's the cake of kings or the king of cakes? Got me, just follow the damn link
I won't bore ya with the deets, but we went on what we were calling #kingcakequest2017 and wouldn't ya know #ontheroadwithswerve tagged along. As usual I'm going let the pics do the talking and your mind do the walking!

I'm in Montgomery, AL this week, I wouldn't recommend it
King cakes are pretty awesome, they can come with all sorts of fillings and even "Zulu" style, but I'm a traditionalist and prefer just cinnamon. We had French king cake for the first time and that was an amazing puff pastry masterpiece
Most of the big name bakeries ship overnight, but we are talking something like voyager/leader class money Here is a good list if anyone's feeling adventurous: Best King Cakes In Louisiana. Seriously shipping king cake is a thing. Look em up on google and give em a hollar.
From that list we have had (not all this year): Poupart's (french king cake), Haydel's, Randazzo's, Tiger Deaux-nuts' (which is also within walking distance), Ambrosia's (best traditional so far) and Gambino's. Yeah, king cakes are kinda serious business - fo realz!
