I picked up Transformers War for Cybertron: Siege Shockwave yesterday and he is everything I wanted him to be.
I love all the extra parts he comes with and have been having a blast with trying to find different variations of use. I mostly like "drone" mode. I imagine the drone follows Shockwave around like a puppy always ready to power up his master, but when all is quite he spends his time blasting cyber-roaches and what not in the lab.
Can't say I much go for Hobgoblin mode, but here it is anyway.
I don't take this **** too seriously and looked up a cheat code. Found big head mode!
Back to the bits and pieces, I did find a neat way to use most of it as a jet pack. I mean you could use all of it in the same manner, but here's my take.
And from behind.
I love that little hose. I plug it in where ever Shockwave needs to redirect more power.
Might as well go crazy with super powered up psycho Shockwave!
Other than the core robot my favorite mode is the combined mode, but I do a thing that's a little different with the wings. Makes it looks like one of those battle ship stages in the old 8/16 bit side scrolling shooters.
Why not go all in?
Finally, I know there is a lot of complaints about his price point and size. I'm sure happy with the size, but I get the price complaints. When I first heard there was going to be a "leader" Shockwave I was bummed because the previous two line's leader class figures (with a few execptions) didn't scale with anything. I'm probably one of the few that like that the core robots were voyager sized. Reminds me a lot of the evolution leaders from PotP, only better. To me Shockwave is perfectly scaled and comes with a ton of fun bits and pieces. Oh, and that light piping, amiright
