That Optimus truck is not, I repeat, NOT a toy!
It is merely a real life truck being designed to resemble Optimus/Convoy that will tour Japan at various locations as part of this anniversary campaign event.
Though, the image itself is a design concept render of what the real truck will look like, rather than an actual photo of the truck.
Do not, I repeat, do NOT expect a toy out of this.

Hasbro: "We already gave you a Voyager Optimus Prime that's a red and blue flat-nosed truck with silver stripes, has a red torso with window pecs, blue legs, a blue Optimus Prime-like head, and a gray gun. We even ggave you MP-10 with all the bells and whistles! And again as a Platinum Edition redeco! What more do you picky fans want?"
That's a good point.
And in any event, I absolutely love the Classics Optimus mold. I still wish they would make a version with an Energon Axe.
I was gonna say CYB Armorhide, who has always been my Pipesxand got repainted into Huffer, but you'd be more correct.Caelus wrote:I actually don't like that COE - it looks like Huffer to me, not Prime. It feels small and efficient, not beefy and intimidating. Plus, the solid window without the vertical strut to mimic pecs looks good on Orion Pax, but doesn't seem right on Optimus.

Ugh, I wish TFW2005 and Seibertron knew to be more careful on what they report on as it's not a toy but a rendering of a real vehicle that will be on tour.
The Allspark reported it properly when it was first revealed.

How do you know he didn't want to buy a real truck?![]()
Seriously, though, I don't think Evasion Mode Optimus Prime is really THE 30th Anniversary Prime. He wouldn't scale all that well with a leader class Megatron. I'm thinking we might see something very satisfying, like a Supreme Class Generations Prime, with the robot mode sized out to scale with a lead class Megatron, plus a complete trailer with lots of fun gimmicks (Roller, repair bay, props, etc.), but done in the modernized "Classics" style, or perhaps to match Optimus Primes more recent IDW renditions. I could even see such a package being the SDCC exclusive, with retail stores simply getting the package without the trailer and additional accessories. Yes, it's a LOT to hope for, and it's pure speculation at this point, by I've got a good feeling that Has-Tak will not drop the ball on this anniversary celebration.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

It was a tactic I used in an attempt to get people's attention to correct the issue, so in my mind it was worth it to try and stop the spread of misinformation.
No hard feelings meant.
