Has anyone else noticed that on prowls doors there are little slits on his doors and no windows and in robot mode his wings that I assume are his doors have no slits and windows whats up could be the first transformer who ever comes with raisable windows and his wheels might be blocking the slits.

This wave will be 80+ bucks well spent. I'm not 100% on Sunstreaker yet, but I thought the same thing about Astrotrain and he ended up being one of the most fun. I'll get them all to say the least.

Man, are my kids gonna be happy, between these and Animated.

This new wave looks amazing! I'm definitely buying this wave and any future waves to follow. It's ironic how Powerglide started out as a minibot-sized figure and has now been upgraded to the Ultra size. I'm glad he at least gets a weapon to fight off the Decepticons.

Tankor (aka Octane) looks incredible, but I can't help but wonder about the name change, since in the write up it mentions "having to change the name." I wonder if it was some type of licensing issue similar to Hot Rod having to become Rodimus.

Anyone questioning whether Onslaught is going to be followed by Blastoff, Vortex, Brawl, and Swindle - the remaining Combaticons? Judging by the picture in his robot form, it doesn't appear that Onslaught has the ability to combine. It would have been so cool if that had been the plan.

I was thinking the same thing as well - my brother has a Ferrari 360 model kit that looks almost exactly the same as the Sunstreaker Alt mode. I think its the fact that the front end is very curved (a la Ferrari) whereas Lamborghini's are typically flatter at the front.

Check out these images and then compare them with SS.

Ferrari 360:

Lamborghini Murcielago
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lamborghini_Murcielago_-_front_right_%28Chapel_St%2C_South_Yarra%2C_Victoria%2C_Australia_3_February_2007%29.JPG

While I see Lambo styling in SS, I think there's more Ferrari there.

Powerglide will be around the same size as Jetfire was from Classics 1.0.

It will be bigger than that, think Energon Scorponok.

Heres my take:

Sunstreaker - Im a bit underwhelmed with this fugure. The bot mode looks a bit on the cheap side. Im not diggin the giant windsheild/roof as his entire mid section. Makes it look like they just gave up design wise on the transformation. Also the car mode looks a lot like Cybertron Excellion, kinda disapointing that its not something more different.

Prowl - Overall I have to say this is the best looking one out of the bunch. The bot mode looks very "clean". It has all its G1 characteristics and yet looks fresh and updated. Car mode looks good too.

Tankor - Not too impressed by this figure. I think it sounds better on paper than how it has came out. Th ealt mode are not that impressive, too blocky/brick like, at least based on those pics. The bot mode is not that bad but it the arms and wings look a little flimsy. Also I dotn like the blade weapon thing hes holding, looks like a piece of scrap metal. Im not a fan of the whole meele weapon thing for advanced alien robots. Give me lazer blasters not acient hand to hand combat weapons!

Powerglide - Looks good in plane mode. But the bot mode looks too top heavy. From the waist up hes not bad but the legs make him look like a pit bull. Also they should have done something with the chest engines sticking out so far. Maybe they chould have made them split in half and fold up on them selfs?

Onslaught - Probably the second mabye even the best looking figure. Another "clean" looking bot mode and the alt mode looks cool as well. The only real complaint I have is the exposed knee joints. There is just too much gap in there, they should have brought it in closerto the leg. Other than that, a ver good figure.

Over all this wave looks good. I like the fact that all these bot have removable and or actual blasters/weapons. Im glad they are doing this and it was something they should have done on the first wave of classics. Im not sure Im liking they way they are trying to model the vechicles after real life ones though. Part of what I liked about the first batch of classics was that they didnt really look like real vechicles, thats what altenators were for. I liked that they still looks somewhat "cartoony". Im looking forward to this line and the Animated one. Now all we need is to see some painted pics.

good points. the tankor alt mode i feel is the weakest of the lot, a bit too messy, the little propellors ont fit the overall look to well.

While I want to come right out and say I love it as many times as I can type before my fingers fall off, my mind runs back to the one classic I hate more than the movie guys, Grimlock.

I'm trying to reserve judgement until we get some reviews before I go into pre-hunt mode. Wel.. I've got till August so it'll be a while.

Life, as many other things shows us both perspectives once more, on one hand we have crApnimated that I honestly hate their design 1000000% and we can see Classics new wave, they are just stunning and very magnificent developed, colors? well, we need to wait until we receive the TCC magazine soon to tell, but definitely they are a must have. :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE: :APPLAUSE:

What about 2.0 wave 2 what are we expecting there?!?! :-?

Love Sunstreaker's head and upper body. Don't like his legs much. I wish his feet were the front halves of the car like the original. Love Prowl the most. Love his g1 chest design along with the shoulder cannons. Love his Nissan 350 Z update. Love Powerglide both the robot and plane rocks. Octane love both his truck and plane mode. Wish he had his spread open wings by his back. Don't like that huge arm rake kibble he has. Onslaught can't combine to Bruticus which is a downer. He looks too chunky. Do like his head. Think I'll get Prowl and Powerglide. I wish they did an anime Ironhide soon after. Along with a Ratchet repaint. With his upper black brow sculpt. Along with a g1 cartoon style Shockwave with no ridiculous orange.

The more I look at the new guys and then at my old ones, I'm worried about the "accurate" car designs. The whole pint of the original Classics line was to give us the classic guys with a modern feel. Well, I like a modern feel better than a critical modern design anyday.
