I think you mean "aesthetic." "Anesthetic" is what numbs pain!
No problem. I too was surprised that the "robot" mode didn't have many robot features, but then again Buzz himself is made of plastic so I guess he's already sort of a robot, an artifical lifeform at least. It's annoying that this figure doesn't have anything Transformer-y about it (does it even have a faction symbol like Mickey-Robo or Donald-Robo?) but it wouldn't be the first time Takara tried to do something original and interesting but were forced to "mainstream" it up for the sake of sales.Liftgate wrote:
RE: Diem
I apologize. I was just looking forward to getting this and was let down by the way it looked. At the same time was blown away that some people thought a transformer that dosn't even resemble a transformer was great. Makes me worried they might bring back Animorphs or something.
It could represent the human Buzz from the cartoon instead of the toy Buzz from the movies.Diem wrote:In other news, since the "real" Buzz is only around six-inches tall, does that mean this robot is human-sized rather than a giant mech?

Leave it to Dead Metal to have the word 'Pronz' in his signature.
Importing? Just buying these things is expensive. Even off the shelf here in Japan you're paying Human Alliance prices for figures that are barely larger than scouts.Dead Metal wrote:Diem wrote:In other news, since the "real" Buzz is only around six-inches tall, does that mean this robot is human-sized rather than a giant mech?
It's not the size that counts, it's how you use it:P
I'm pretty hyped for ToyStory3 and hell if this where available of the shelves over here I might buy it but importing these things is expensive especially considering their size.

The really weird thing is that Disney is incredibly popular here...with girls. Boys enjoy the Pixar stuff but are generally not that interested, but girls (of all ages) have the cuddly toys, the stickers, the phonestraps, the clothes, and so on... but these figures are being mainly marketed to boys. I don't understand it. Maybe if Disney/Takara made a figure of Drossel from Fireball the fanboys would buy it.Dead Metal wrote:Diem wrote:Importing? Just buying these things is expensive. Wow I guess Disney really is evil.

Kinda like ol' Buzz here, eh?
