Because Prime, Megatron, and Ultra Magnus will all tower over him. The mold looks great, but why isn't it a Voyager?

Check the top of Soundwave's vehicle mode in the pics from Toy Fair. Laserbeak's sanding on top of him in bird mode. Not sure I like how the tail is, but it's still seriously the most awesome Laserbeak ever. Animated is pure ownage. I wanna see that Headmaster transformed. I am gonna like every version of everyone from animated, no matter how broke it makes me. I'll sell off organs if I have to. Screw my kidneys, I want Prowl.

Speaking of Laserbeak, they better rename the version that comes with Classics Blaster. Maybe he can be Sundor? I'd really like the repaints for the new Universe line to reach further back for the molds, like they did with the old Universe line... The new molds look pretty solid though. Not sure about Sunstreaker or Prowl, but Onslaught looks decent. "Tankor" is pure awesome, though, even though they seem to have lost both Octane and Mega-Octane as trademarks.

The Marvel Transformers actually look decent! After years and years of Toy Biz screwing it up, and the Star Wars Transformers not doing it much better, I was ready to write these guys off, but they actually look pretty decent, and if they're the same price as the SWTFs, it'll fill in the fifteen dollar pricepoint with something we can actually look forward to. ROBOHULK SMASH!

My grades:

Galvatron is amazing. The expression the gave him is just the single greatest look I have ever seen on any TF. A++++

Blaster is an abomination. F

The legends are meh as always. C

Animated: I am not a huge fan of animated. However, they do look very...animated....they look very true to what they are supposed to be. I'll give them a very begrudging B+.

Oddly enough, the one that really stands out to me is the Hulk crossover. I really like him a lot. He's light years better than the SW crossovers.

That's the headmaster accessory. You clip it onto his head and it changes Bulkhead's personality, and that does happen in the show too, in a few weeks.

Not to mention Sentinel Prime and Lugnut. Wreck-Gar and the Constructicons too, but they're probably nowhere near ready yet.

I think they put as much animated on display as they could, though. Any more and they'd risk people's head exploding from sheer awesome.

Galvatron looks awesome. all the Universe/Classics 2.0 and definitely Premium Movie Prime are my must-get list. I'm actually not too big on the Animated titans (Supreme Prime, Leader Bulkhead), but I'm looking forward to seeing them in shops and possibly even seeing how they work. But in terms of Animated toys, I'm happy to get pretty much every toy from the main figure line.

Depends on which line you are referring to.

Animated has several release dates flying around. June being the most promising, while I still can't see Hasbro extending the movie line past March or April at the furthest. But you never know.

Universe: no set date yet that I'm aware of. but the tentative time is Fall.

Crossover line who knows. Cody/Turbo Tank and the Clone Transport/Trooper are out already.

Crossover Marvel no date set yet AFAIK.

I can't wait for Animated and Universe toys to come out. I can't believe that there's Blaster, when was the last time we saw a toy of him, G1?! I don't know about Powerglide though. He looks like the secret love child of Skyfire and Powerglide or a Ratchet's third mode.

I don't know about Powerglide though. He looks like the secret love child of Skyfire and Powerglide or Ratchet's third mode: a rescue plane. But Powerglides cool...except for his voice.

Are you referring to the deluxe tank version? If so, then what's your point? That Unicron is supposed to be small, to suggest how much power he's lost.
Galvatron was always on par size-wise with Prime, Magnus, and Megatron. Heck, he was Megatron rebuilt. So it's not all that hard to imagine that he should be about the same size. Are you honestly saying you're not getting this point?
I'm not saying it's a bad figure. Heck, I love it, I'll get probably two of them. I for one simply don't understand why it's not a Voyager-size figure.

I would say wait a little bit before going crazy on galvatron's size. Considering Classics I, Movie, and Animated have all released their leader characters in multiple sizes I wouldn't be surprised if they release a bigger galvatron not long after the deluxe. Especially considering the big figures they are releasing aren't very notable characters, some big and flashy leader galvy is probably right around the corner.

I'd also suspect many of the animated toys weren't shown in order to prevent spoilers for the show. Still it bothers me we haven't seen Blitzwing or lugnutz yet, especaily since we've already seen them in the first episode.

Did they have pictures of Sentinel Prime and Lugnut. Wreck-Gar and the Constructicons in any of the coverage of the toy fair.

Im fairly sure i never said that i didnt get the point, i can see your point clearly, but what i was getting at (ok i admit badly) was that there are other deluxe figures who are normally bigger than magnus etc which have been made smaller than him this time round. Nobody made a big fuss then.

I see your point as well. I do remember people getting bent out of shape over Grimlock being a deluxe. Galvatron being a deluxe perplexes me, well, because it's Galvatron! He should be able to stand toe-to-toe with Magnus, a la Target: 2006!
I don't consider myself a scale Nazi, and it's not a deal-breaker by any means, I just wish he was a Voyager, and I really don't understand why they'd make him a Deluxe. Especially when a character like Powerglide gets an Ultra figure.
