OK final verdict... MP starscream was sometimes right all the way, and other production runs had defects.. but the real deal for the future is for Takara/Tomy to reissue him, in classic G-1 colors, restyle the feet..Or not, I kinda like the upgrade, but for purity.. lets say they would do that, then provide a yellow colored cockpit, and remove the doctor Archevil for a better feature..say the time bomb from that episode, or a crown and cape/shoulder attachements, then I feel that we have solved the MP Starscream problem.. Defects in this model is one thing, but I feel the whole project it self was a big giant defect.. it wasn't worth calling him a Masterpiece, because the master in masterpiece begins with robot accuracy and making it possible in 3-D, which includes it being colored correctly and no designer modifications.. like the feet, the exclusion of the crown and cape/Shoulder guards, and the color choice, which is realistic, yes, but its a freaking jet that transforms into a robot!!! Its realism is lost in concept alone.. so it should have been colored correctly and legs, crown, shoulder guards, and cape should have accompanied it on the final run!!
Lastly, it should be reproduced with a high amount of quality control, to maintain customer satisfaction.. i mean come on Takara/Tomy.. this is one of the most coveted figures in the g-1 line up, do it right.. and even the modified "designer" version was grand and fans ate it up with a quickness, we are still clamoring for a remold, with accurate legs, color and accessories.. to me that's what would end the nightmare and restore faith in Takara/Tomy.. in Japanese terms, you have defaced your honor in the Masterpiece toyline.. time to fix it..
Note: "you can do this without sticking a short sword in your belly"
JUST FIX the DAMN TOY!!!
