It looks like this manga is continuing what was started in the e-HOBBY Magna Convoy manga in which Bludgeon was watching monitors that showed "The warriors who have inherited the Seven Lights divided from "The One"," and with this we see those seven groups each led by a Convoy or a Prime (the text uses either name for certain ones) and each possessing the White Matrix, the Green Matrix, the Red Matrix, the Yellow Matrix, the Black Matrix/Black Legendisc, the Purple Matrix, and the Silver Matrix of the Blue Corps.Skritz wrote:So wait is Primus calling some rainbow-hued Lantern Corps of Primes/Convoys redecos?

With the theft of the Blue Matrix, Primus alerts the other colored Orders of the Primus Vanguard to defend their respective Matrices from Megatron Omega, for if he gets all seven, all is lost for this universe...
On the Blue Planet, the Blue Order is torn asunder, its members driven to attack each other by the program secretly implanted into them by one of the group's Straxuses. Blue realizes the betrayal, and the other Straxus—Director Straxus—mocks him and explains that the previous commander, Brightes, shouldn't have passed him over for Supreme Commander in favor of Blue. Refusing to dirty his hands by harming his comrades, Blue stabs himself with the Matrix Sword, but the amused Straxus just takes it and offers his services to Megatron Omega so that the other Orders and Primus's ambitions can be destroyed.
Left behind, Turtler moans about his inability to stand up to the villains, but is bemused when the planet's native Beast People thank him for saving them. Primus explains to Star Convoy that, while the members of the Blue Order have perished, their sparks will be stored in his Ark and pass on to the next incarnation of the universe, which is why he led Galvatron to this universe (although Blue's spark is mysteriously absent). Turtler alerts Star Convoy to a more immediate mystery: the absence of Halfshell from the crashed photon sailer...
At the White Planet,White Gallant Convoy is alerted to an invading turtle—Halfshell! The Seacon is here for his White Matrix! The Green Planet faces a similar invasion as Sea Phantom seeks to take the Green Matrix from Green Tender Convoy.
The Seacons continue their attacks on the various planets of the Primus Vanguard's colored Orders. At the Red Planet, Red Sentinel Prime attempts to fell Terrormander with his Red Matrix-powered Matrix Buster, but it's of no use. Scylla makes landing at the Yellow Planet, where she introduces herself to the other girls and uses her Angolmois Kiss of Death to take the Yellow Matrix from Yellow Splendid Convoy. The Black Planet is defended by Deadlock, who has been studying under Black Go Prime to become a Swordbot. Black recognizes his foe, Coelagon, from his time in the Seacon's world. Coelagon explains that he's here for the Black Matrix, also known as the time-controlling Black Legendisc.
There aren't enough Seacons to go around, though, and the Purple Planet stays uninvaded. They still have visitors in the form of the Straxuses and Ultra Megatron Omega, so Purple Wicked Convoy proposes that they combine the power of the Purple, Blue, and Silver Matrices to defeat all of their enemies and take over the universe.
On the Blue Planet, Primus is alerted to the Seacons' attacks on the Warriors of Lights. A Beast Person explains to a confused Star Convoy that all of the Warriors are robots who defend life throughout the universe as part of the Primus Vanguard. The Beast introduces herself as Lune and also amusingly explains that "Convoy" means the same thing as "Supreme Commander" here. Star Convoy recognizes one of the Seacons as Halfshell, and Primus explains that he's been changed by the god-rivaling power of Angolmois Energy, which can allow one to change their or others' form and even resurrect the dead. This revelation is cue for Primacron to barge in and berate Primus for using his creation, bringing it from the future and having it proliferate in this universe. Primacron wants to know just what Primus, or, rather, the Oracle is planning...
There's not much time to talk, as the Seacons arrive with all of the different Matrices and combine into the mighty God Neptune! With the Power of Stars, God Neptune seeks to make his creation just as somebody else wishes...

On the White Planet, several hours before Halfshell's attack, White drives through the town greeting the denizens before arriving at the White Order's base. There, he's alerted to the battle between Super Megatron and Star Convoy on the Blue Planet, but decides that the Blue Order can handle it—the White Order's duty belongs on their planet. Nevertheless, White is engrossed in Star Convoy's heroism, realizing that the visitor Primus told him of is himself in the next life...
Having gathered five of the Primus Vanguard's Matrices, God Neptune sets out to use their power to take the Purple Matrix and the Silver Matrix (carrying the blue Star Power of the α Matrix beside its own) from Megatron Omega and Purple. Megatron attempts to blast the Seacon combiner, but God Neptune is unfazed. Straxus takes a swipe with the Matrix Sword, but is disarmed by God Neptune retaliating with the Matrix Saber. The Matrix Sword isn't without surprises, and Blue's spirit emanates from it, revealing that he put a portion of his spark into the sword when he committed suicide. Blue links to the Matrix Buster to give God Neptune a good blast, and Yellow, Green, and Black arrive to restrain God Neptune. White leaps into action in his "White Convoy Grand Prime" mode, but the entire endeavor ends in White being bisected by God Neptune's Neptune Sword.
Grabbing the opportunity, Megatron Omega converts into a new mode that combines with Purple's trailer and ruthlessly shoots the combiner with Angolmois Energy, breaking him apart. Desperate, Halfshell calls Turtler for help, but his plea is interrupted when Megatron Omega broadcasts Halfshell's unkind words about his "brother" from earlier in the photon sailer.
Having watched Halfshell's insults toward him, Turtler turns his back on his "brother", disappointed that his comrade turned out to be as disdainful as everyone else. Now alone, the miserable Halfshell cries and laughs at his despair; looking at his felled crew, Halfshell thinks back to a similar scenario...
Before and elsewhere, the Seacons, betrayed by Duncan, have been left for dead in space. Halfshell mourns new member Lowbhammer in particular when a mysterious, shadowed robot arrives. He offers to revive the Seacons... but only if they do as he says. The mysterious being takes Lowbhammer as collateral and sends Halfshell to 2020 to pick up Turtler.
Halfshell moans at what he's been brought down to—a crewmember being a hostage, violating pirate law, and deceiving his brother. In response, a voice emanates from the Neptune Sword... White! White explains that he placed his soul within the sword and gives the Seacon captain words of encouragement. Nearby, Megatron Omega attempts to absorb the Star Power of the five Matrices God Neptune brought, but he finds his head smashed in with the Neptune Sword. Halfshell takes the Star Power for himself, reforming God Neptune and cleaving Megatron in half. The Straxuses worry about their bisected master, but their concern is unnecessary as Megatron absorbs their energies to reform himself. With an inhuman voice, Megatron Omega declares that this is the form that banished the humans from Earth in the future... Megatron Omega: Perfect Form.
On the Blue Planet, Primus explains that he's out to foil Primacron's plans and calls Primitive warriors to him!

Sabrblade wrote:The shadowy being Halfshell makes a deal with during the flashback kinda looks like Unicron, but it's probably just a Vok/Dark Nova.
I'm mostly just guessing based on how we previously saw Dark Nova's tentacles and forces attacking this primordial universe back in the Star Convoy chapter, and how Primus explained in another chapter that this universe is destined to later be destroyed by the Vok so that the present universe can come into being. God Neptune's gathering all the Matrices for this guy, and which doing so would lead to this universe's destruction, so the Vok/Dark Nova are my current suspect for this being.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Sabrblade wrote:The shadowy being Halfshell makes a deal with during the flashback kinda looks like Unicron, but it's probably just a Vok/Dark Nova.
Can't really tell from just his/her mouth, can you?

Skritz wrote:So I was wondering: who are 'The Primitives' in that manga? The strip end with Primus calling upon them, hinting its some kind of big deal and might be the setup for a reveal of a next SELECTS figure or set of figures, maybe? Or am I reading too much into this? Hmmm.

Sabrblade wrote:I just thought of something else about the Primitives. While there are five pairs of eyes shown, that doesn't necessarily make them another combiner team. What if we're going about this all wrong and the next five are a group of beasts but who aren't a combiner team? That could open up the possibilities more. We just need to think of who, historically, has been a five-member team with beast modes but not necessarily a combiner.

The Dinobots, as they weren't originally a combiner team before The Beast Within Power of the Primes.

This is the only one i can think of right off the bat.
Or maybe we're about to get some Quintesson servant repaints (Alicons, Gnaw).
Or Maybe it's Sky Lynx and a new team of smaller beasts.
