Hmmm...nope. No, I don't believe that, and I'm never going to. When I see Terminator, I don't see the social commentary of the repercussions of increased in technological advancements...I see Michael Biehn and Linda Hamilton fighting off a robot from the future, with their fair share of car chases and explosions. I don't look for the deeper meaning, I just look for the entertainment.

hellkitty wrote:Alan Moore apparently ran in terror from having his name on the project, but, well, Alan Moore *is*...ummm, kinda weird.

Alan Moore, in the '80s, was apparently excited about a Watchmen movie. Then The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen came out, and he apparently lost hope for anything adapted from his work.

Honestly, I am ready for the Bay-formers to be over with. Many things I don't like about them. The Fallen? man he could have been left out. All the bot reformats like the twins, Bubblebee, Megatron, Who is Sideways? plus we have Sideswipe? That will confuse the casual fan. Sideswipe & Sideways!!! I am curious with how Arcee & Soundwave will work out. Its nice to see some REAL Transformers getting some love. I hope the Fallen, The Twins, Sideways all die in this movie. I have never heard of these people. I want them gone. Ill know what happens in the movie prior to even seeing it. That will let me know whether or not I want to buy the DVD.

You have to speak for yourself on this one. I have the original movie on DVD, TF1 was no good to me, when I read about what happens in TF2 then I may get the DVD, but I am not buying a 9 dollar ticket to see this experiment. Ill wait.

So you'd rather pay $20 rather than $9?

I believe even the old jazz had licensing issues.

Although I think the designs are xtreme, and it would be awesome to have a director who loved transformers and could make a great reboot to satisfy all, I am also thankful the movie did not go the way of res evil, mortal kombat, or mario bros! I can always hope for another reboot like batman, but I'll watch what we get ( & it won't be laughably bad). Still think bayformers are ugly though ;-)

Good Post, TF1 was like a 2 hour long car commercial remixed with those "join the army/navy/airforce" commercials we see. The story was lame. It did not pay enough homage to the REAL Transformers. I seriously doubt TF2 will do the franchise any justice. The sub title name is a rip on Starwars. Time for a reboot. Please

Yeah, Transformers is never a commercial for anything.

I'm not going to pretend to know what that even means, or if it even made the slightest bit of sense, so I'll simply say "What?"

With hollywood, nothing is sacred. As soon as hollywood makes a film about famous IP's, the first thing they do is change everything. I won't make a list. bayformers is ok, but not what i would of done. I don't see how sticking closer to the original look would of hurt. It wouldn't of compromised anything. bay supporters argue the fact "too blocky, they were metal humans, megatron couldn't of been a gun. This is more realistic." well guess what?It still isn't realistic. especially if we have become desensitized to cgi. I almost expected them to look like japanese robots instead of the craziness. but you get use to it lol

I like them. I really like the fact that there different than anything else we've seen before. While i respect G1 for giving birth to TF, to be honest, I think the movie adaptions are superior in every way. Are "Bayformers" perfect? No. But neither is G1, beast-wars, energon or any other adaption of the TF universe.

Weapon: Gatling Cannon
i like them,

there are flaws and there are good things about them as well.

at first i didnt like them at all. then i told myself watch the movie and dont think of them as their g1 counterparts. and i came around.

i do like that they are diffrent from anything before. the alien look to them is a major reason i like them as much as i do.

I think they're awesome, and here are the reasons.

1. They actually LOOK like aliens/alien constructs. Why would aliens look like something humans made and/or have human body proportions? They're aliens! Of course they're going to look... uh... alien!

2. They look like they could actually transform and have it not go against physics or whatever. No parts that seem to just disappear, like Prime's trailer from G1. All the different pieces actually fit.

Don't flame me, my opinion is my opinion. If you don't like it don't read. I don't care who you are. TF2 will suck for a lot of reasons, that have all ready been listed. I wont be brainwashed by the hype. I can be patient enough to see a bootleg copy when they are available which will be very soon, and I still wont rush out to see it. Again if my post don't make sense to you then don't read them. Close your eyes when you see my name. My opinion is MINE and won't be changed by any flamers. Thats whats up.
