My thoughts with this echo most, and have already been said in the other thread I put up before seeing this one. Yay laziness!

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed with the 5-packs. There seems to be a lot of QC issues, which is strange because the 2-packs have come out nothing short of fantastic for me. I'm really curious to see wave 3, when they use the 2-pack molds for 5-packs and vice versa.

I really want to get Smolder, and in Bombshocks' case, he is the best part of the set. I'll agree with you that Bombshock is a pretty decent, if not very inspiring, figure. Certainly better than the drones. Minicons, as of yet, can't comment.

Smolder is pretty awesome, very solid figure. his minicon looks great in weapon, vehicle weapon, and robot mode. His power up is so so, but you can slightly adjust it so that it doesnt look like its just a piece jutting out and actually looks like armor. Smolder's combine mode looks nice too, but I think Huffer has the best as far as pose-ability and ease to get the drones on.

So far with what I have, I'd rate them:

1) Smolder
2) Huffer
3) Bombshock
4) Double Clutch.

I am starting to embrace what is actually good about double clutch, and it makes bearing him a little easier, as he has a pretty good looking robot mode, and the pieces feel solid, just not his joints. His limitations in pose-ability and quality control greatly hinder what could have been a pretty good toy. And after mixing and matching, the rallybots look GREAT on Huffer. I think I'm going to make a review on these guys and let everyone else make a better assessment. Stay tuned!

So here are some pics of The Rallybots on Smolder, Huffer, and Double Clutch. I think they look great on Huffer, not too shabby on Double Clutch if you pose him just right, and I didn't fool around with Smolder too much, just took a quick pic to give you an idea.

This is the very reason I want the Rallybots. Once Crankcase comes out, I'll have the closest thing to a new Menasor possible

^ Yeah. Of all of them they look best on Huffer. That light bluish one from the first set of pictures? That's Double Clutch? Wow, that's bad. Smolder just looks like he needs the 'right' set of drones and he'll look pretty good.

I feel the same way about Icepick. His Altmode and icy appearence just really don't work with any of the drones I've seen.

The Rallybots look like they might fit Leadfoot better than Doubleclutch in the same vein as Searchlight is a better fit for the Arielbots

I just can't bring myself to buy these 5-packs. I've been a completist since ROTF came out, but it stops here. 2-packs are great. These are...how do I put it?

Okay, I got the Rallybots and the Destructicons today...

1 ) My Double Clutch is pretty solid. He's also stiff as heck, not very articulated, squat, and not at all the kind of robot you expect from a relatively sleek car. Blech.

2 ) Mudslinger is also tight-jointed, but more articulated, and you'd EXPECT a stocky bot mode from a monster truck.

3 ) Personally, the Destructicon arms are slightly better than most of the arms out (other than the spyplane from the jets and the Tank Drone of the Combaticons), the Armored Truck drone is a decent leg, but the best leg of any drone to date is the Armored Junker drone

4 ) The Rallybots are all decent, with the except of the red "Drag car drone", which is really annoying.

End result?

Huffer + Rallybots - Drag Car Drone + Armored Junker Drone = My mini-Menasor. Breakdown's gone emo, I guess (woulda been Dead End or Wildrider, but Dead End is too vain, and Wildrider's too fast) :D

Yeah Double clutch is pretty horrible. It will be a total shelf-warmer if it is ever released in two pack form.
The drones aren't that bad though and look great on Leadfoot.

Hey guys, I finally made my first written review of Double Clutch & the Rallybots. I plan to ultimately review all the PCC line first. Hopefully I'll be able to do a video review once I figure out a good camera set up as all I have is my iPhone 4. Please let me know what you think and if there is info you guys think I should add or remove to help me better future reviews. I don't include detailed instructions on how to transform them completely as I find it kind of useless to read it literally. I forgot to take individual shots of the drones, so I'll add those tomorrow. Thanks in advance!

So does anyone know how to get Double Clutch's commander mode head off? It's one of the few salvageable pieces for my Bits box, looking a LOT like Jazz... And, oddly, one of the few parts that does NOT fall off...

Good review Noodles. Keep up the good work.

I've played around with Double Clutch and I've been able to get him into combined mode without any modifications. It just takes a lot of fiddling to get him aligned perfectly so he will fit together. I really think that his design is too complex for a scout sized figure. I'm liking him a lot better in gestalt mode though, but normal robot mode is still pretty weak.

I also "discovered" an alternate way to pose Double Clutch's legs in gestalt mode that makes him a little bit taller and won't stress the joints. And it is incredibly simple:

Well After I first transformed this guy it was a mess, arms were popping off and stuff. But now I transformed this guy about five times now and I have no idea what happen, but the arms arn't popping off, and I don't have to pop the legs off anymore either. I was going to take it back but after five attempts of transforming him with no problems....I'll keep him

Picked up Mudslinger today. Definite improvement over Double Clutch. Couple of things that irk me (aside from the PCC concept).

His colours. Completely clash with his drones. Bright green versus brown? Yeah, doesn't work for me.

His normal robot head ... with the freaking giant intake hat? It just looks ... well, silly.

Guess as far as PCC's go, 'Cons win, 'Bots lose.
