fair enough. they must think enough people who already have a Max, or are getting the reissue will be interested. I don't think I'd get one since I don't plan on getting the big guy. Nice sculpt for the face though.

Hmm, I was hoping the rumors about this being IDW Fort Max would be true. Can't see me being able to invest in this now, too bad.

In any case PE should finish up with the missing Cassettes.

I know the angle is different, but the head in the top image is slightly different to the head in the bottom image. It might simply be a tweaked design. It might be something significant.

The silhouette does still look like IDW Fortress Maximus. Is it confirmed anywhere that this is going to be strictly a new head for G1 Maximus, or could that image just be fore size comparison?

A classics style head for a giant brick. This is one of the rare cases where I would prefer a NEO alt mode so it would work for my classics shelf. So I guess were not getting a Soundwave from PE. I will get the big sword for my Headrobots Stronghold though.

I suppose this could work to add to the Headmasters lineup I've been getting from FP and Toyworld. I have no interest in this from a full Fort Max standpoint (my small gum-whatchacallit Fort Max works just fine). But, I could like this to have a 'bot to stand with my Chromedome and Hardhead on the shelf. I wonder if this will have a Spike headmaster for Cerebros. Also, it'd be cool to have it transform into the computer from season 4.

Of course, then Tom Hanks from Big springs to mind. "It's a robot that turns into a building [computer]. What's fun about playing with a building [computer]?"

That animal is their Lio Convoy.

Btw - If this is IDW Fort Max he turns into a tank as well as a head.

If I was obsessed with getting modern Headmasters I'd probably want this. Yeah, it's kinda doofy to put a modern head on ol' G1 Fortress Maximus, but what's not doofy is putting the robot mode of that head along with all the other modern Headmasters we've gotten or are getting. After all, that alone should be a Headmaster.

If it was a Fort Max, I'd be more interested but just a Cerebros? I'll stick with the custom Onslaught mold. And I agree it's weird to make an awesome new head for the enormous brick that is G1 Fort Max. Plus, I'd have to get another Max. Easy pass.
