You're asking me? Well, the reason I am double dipping is I like the PX stuff for my pre-earth cybertron shelf (which is full of mostly WfC and FoC stuff and Orion Pax [Edit] Oh, and I do have Cybertron Dirge there as well as the Tetrajets. I forgot about them...) and the FP stuff for my Classics Dinobots.
So, I guess that doesn't really answer your question, does it?![]()
(P.S. Good to see you in these parts, again, mooncake623.)
Alright, let me lay it out. My joints on Columpio are, mostly, tight. The arms are probably the weakest part with the dino legs not holding together really well in bot mode. I feel like there is a pegging issue there that should be fixed with some nail polish or superglue coats. So I have no complaints like others do on the hips or anything. I like him much better as a Classics/Generations Sludge because of the proportions in dino mode. The minicon is a neat touch, but not necessary and may end up in a pile of weapons in OP's G3 trailer. I'll be displaying these as dinos. One last thing is the metallic paint job. I feel like this is a great nod to the G1 toys.
Neptune, on the other hand, is just too wide bodied to be a good Classics representation, in my opinion. I love his large size. I love how he looks so much like the game. And for some reason, I really like that dino head. Also, to me he looks a little more like an Apatosaurus with the lower shoulders and higher hips. The shoulder to hip height differential is a bit too small on Columpio. He looks more like a Diplodocus, or the original Brontosaurus, which really doesn't exist. But, this is fairly consistent with the animation and the G1 toy. It's not bad and looks good for Classics representation. I just prefer the shoulder/hip aspect on Neptune, which isn't maybe so "Classics."
In bot mode, Neptune is the hands down winner, though Columpio comes in a close second. I wish Columpio was a bit broader in the chest and shoulders. Columpio looks like he's going to squish me under foot with that massive lower body. Neptune looks like he is going to crush me with whatever body part is convenient, even if it is my own body part...
Transformations on both are fun and clever. They do very different things with the dino neck, and I like that difference. The paint on Columpio gets the nod, but the detailing on both are outstanding.
So, if I had to rate these two, in my happiness indes, Columpio mighjt get a 9.1 to Neptune's 8.9, with the articulated neck and paint job probably being the facttors that push it ever so slightly that way. If I was going to keep these guys in bot mode, it would probably fall more Neptune 9.3 to Columpio's 8.8. I am very happy with both and hope that both companies finish out the lines.
Now, which one was going to be Paddles again?
(Nobody's going to ask me my opinion again, are they? I can write books for posts at times, can't I?)

DinoZaurs. One of the cooler shows that aired on Fox Kids back in the day, and Bandai's old attempt to cash in on the popularity of Beast Wars.Delta Magnus wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Delta Magnus wrote:A Brachiosaurus on the other hand would be a great transformation for a Sludge.

Ye gods, what is this abomination?![]()
(I have actually seen the toy it was based on though and it looked pretty sweet, especially the chromed skeleton.)

Delta Magnus wrote:I have no idea how you could make an accruately proportioned Diplodocus that transformed. The neck and tail are so long and thin they'd have basically nowhere to go unless you converted them into combat tentacles or something.
