As much as I love that spiked armour, some different designs would be extra cool. Also, perhaps some extra armour sets later down the line (like the Head Shots, but with armour instead)?

The armor does come off, so you could remove or change it later, but I think the Kickstarter just has the two sets of armor that fit over the muscule-man body that they mix and match for the KS figures. Additional armors would be cool to add later.

I was already considering if I get two of the same body with different Head Shots, I'd change the armor and weapons up so they were not identical from the neck down.

Like the Triceratops Pretender. It looks like Dinobots Slag on Steroids. Hoping the toy can get on all fours and do a Dino mode.

Think this toy also looks like those Dinosaur men that were in the TMNT cartoon and toy line.

A general response:

Ryan/Seibertron has final say on all matters related to the site. But the staff discuss how to proceed before taking it to Seibertron in the case of disagreement or uncertainty.

The person responsible for the boards, for future reference, is Burn. Burn had decided to keep the threads as they were, but it slowly got out of hand. We had a discussion with the rest of staff, and decided that the best option for the PWTT project (as it is one project with multiple figures) is to have a catch-all discussion. And thanks to Counterpunch for going through the trouble of actually moving them all into here.

From this point onwards, please refrain from micro-modding, multi-posting and any type of unnecessary behaviour related to this project. If you have an issue with how the staff dealt with this matter, please let us know via PM or email. Thank you.

To quote Trent Troop, who works with PWTToo: "The line will homage multiple sci-fi and fantasy lines. The first major push takes inspiration from the Pretenders, but that's not all that's coming."

Now considering that no good action figures ever came from Dinosaucers, this one is ripe.

TMNT has lots of modern figures, so you are probably less likely to see them.

Had a quick look on pwtt fp page and they say that the pledge will be "high" how high are we talking what's the usual for a kickstarter ?

Also they say we will be able to pick a figure we want for chipping in as there will be a small choice then more added later

so is there multiple figures that will be funded by this like the Skullgrin body and the starscream body ?

i thought it was only for the skullgrin figure to be made and then the more money the more new parts

so by the end of the ks are pwtt expecting to be able to make a couple of full figures ?

The way it usually works with action figure kickstarters is they have a couple basic figures, usually with some common parts, and a initial goal. Once that goal is met, they start unlocking more figures (usually with progressively newer parts), which leads to people adding those figures to their initial orders, and increasing the amount of money raised, which in turn unlocks more goals. They keep unlocking the goals until the month of pledges is over, then collect the money from your credit card. So the farther it goes the more figures it gets. The initial couple figures will probably look very similar, and they already said Desolataur is one of the starter figures, so expect it and a couple it's friends as the initial offering.

When Virtruvian Hacks did their figures they starter with a medusa snake woman and a greek soldier, once those were funded they added more figures. Amazing Heroes had a couple heroic comic heroes and kept adding more. Gothitropolis Ravens has a bird man, and kept adding more species of birds, later even griffens and the like. All were mostly the same figure with with new heads, accessories and paint.

From Facebook

KICKSTARTER kicks off "officially" on Friday. This one of a kind Boneyard piece by artist MATT FRANK will go to one lucky backer!

About Matt:
Matt Frank, known as the "Kaiju King," has garnered himself a bit of a fan-favorite status by contributing to numerous Transformers titles. He kicked off 2013 with the crossover one-shot, Mars Attacks The Transformers, not to mention Transformers Spotlight: Trailcutter, both of which he fully illustrated. He had also worked on the Beast Wars Sourcebook, Transformers Animated: The Rise of Safeguard, and the Collector's Club stories Flash Forward and Beast Wars: Shattered Glass. Aside from Transformers, Matt has also contributed heavily to IDW's various Godzilla titles, starting with covers on Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters and Godzilla: History's Greatest Monster. He then moved on to covers and interiors for Godzilla: Legends and Godzilla: Rulers of Earth, the longest-running Godzilla comic ever made. In 2015, Matt will be the featured artist of Botcon's exclusive comic story, Cybertron's Most Wanted.

Thanks for clearing that up Scaleface ;)

Strangely enough with all the hate that's been going on around here it's got me more interested in the project and i'm willing to put some money in IF they're not asking for something stupid .

Also iv'e found myself more interested in the human side of the characters even though i don't like the original figures .

Just have to wait till friday and see what the KS has to say .

Might have been tempted to buy Terrortops. If PWTT Colored Terrortops in G1 Dinobot Slag's colors and added a tail. Then put it all in a nice G1 TF deco box.

Pretty sure he'll get a repaint, so maybe that'll be one of them., I don't see them doing tails though.
Actually, tails would be awesome, thent hey could go and make Extreme Dinosaur homages. Oh hell, yeah, ED homages would be awesome!

I find myself in the same boat.

I'm caring less and less about the pretenders, and more and more about the other figures in this line.

I WILL be buying that Warduke, and there are a few others I really like too. I've also looked up the current 4 horsemen KS and I like a few of those figures too, so I may be getting into a couple of these KS campaigns.

Radio Free Cybertron just posted a pre-Kickstarter interview with Rik Alvarez on Youtube.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=snvFUgiIasA

Probably the most important information:

-The Kickstarter will focus on the monsters, with the humans in armor unlocking at higher levels and coming later.

-The initial goal of the campaign is to raise $80,000. That goal means the 5 figures and drones will be made. Once they surpass the $80,000 goal they start unlocking other figures and accessories. They have dozens of figures lined up.

-The initial offering will be 5 figures that are very similar, which include Desolataur (Skullgrin) and Bloodbath (Bomb-Burst) and their repaints.

-The prices start at $55 for one figure and tech drone including shipping, but it becomes cheaper the more figures you order (3 figures and drones is $150, all 5 figures and drones plus a bunch of swag like t-shirt, art, glow in the dark button/shield, costs $250 including shipping).

-There will be an "all figures only" and "everything" option, , the more stuff gets unlocked the more stuff you get. If everything gets unlocked it will be a complete steal, giving you dozens of figures a set price. There are only so many of these that also include the free blue BMOG, which are first come first serve, so if you are considering getting that order it right away even before stuff is unlocked, as you can always adjust your order any time before the campaign ends if nothing good gets unlocked and you want to switch to a smaller order.

They posted this on the Facebook page. So it looks like the basic 5 character available in the campaign are Bitemark (red vampire), Bloodbath (Bomb-Burst), Catastropheles (Skeletor), Desolataur (Skullgrin) and one more.

 Think the $55 price seems a bit high. Considering PWTT said the kickstarter figures would be cheaper than the non-kickstarter figures.

:-? If the Kickstarter figures cost so much. Hate to see how high priced the non-kickstarter figures will cost. :???:

Just one Bloodbath or just one Desolataur, is $55 with free US shipping.

It would be $110 if you want both Bloodbath and Desolataur.

I think the retail price is whatever people will want to charge for them. The retailers will be buying several of the army packs of (10 figures for $450), breaking them up and selling them for whatever price they decide.

Honestly, a Voyager sized custom action figure and a Legends size partner from a third party for $55 including shipping doesn't bother me. It's a lot better than some companies.
