A feature I've seen on some boards before is the option to disable viewing other people's sigs on a per-user preference basis. Is this option available on this forum somewhere, and I've just missed it? If not, can it be enabled? I, for one, would REALLY appreciate it.

I understand that users are proud of their sigs and want everyone else to see them, and some people enjoy having large, (sometimes upwards of ~250k) obtrusive graphics scattered throughout their conversations... but when viewing a discussion with dozens of posts, many of them from the same members, each with a large graphic repeatedly punctuating their reply, it can get a little ...tedious.

No, this option does not exist. You can either view all signatures or none at all. Take your pick...

Also we currently cannot utilize the newest version of PHPBB (or whatever it is) due to constant glitching and the such. (Pepie had to disable it.) So we're running on a severely low tech version of that from what I can recall...

2 things to note:

1- I am no staff member and am purely going off of my own experience(s) here;
2- I might be incorrect on my inofrmation as it's rather old. Things might have changed for all I know, but if somebody could come along and fill in anything I've left out... Please do so. (Especially a staff member.)

Well, what I meant from my request was, I'd LIKE to be able to turn off ALL sigs. I don't like seeing them at all. How might I do this, if I can?

Lol Simple... If you look at the top of the board where the logo-type is, you'll see these options:

FAQ | Search | Memberlist | Usergroups | Profile | You have no new messages/(whatever it says when your PM box has messages. :3 ) | Log Out [ (insert your username here) ]

Click on profile and you will to go a page that says:
Registration Information

Scroll down past the next section of Profile Information (which both are rather short) and go to Preferences. If you look through the list there is this option:

Ok... Nevermind... I obviously haven't looked there in so long. What the frell happend to that option?! I never set it to off so I never bother with it... And now it's suddenly gone? Is it due to the low grade board coding or has this option just genreally been disabled/removed? If so I personally do think that it should be put back as I do know that there are people (such as ShadowStitch here) who appreciate the use of it...

I know this is not my place, but it is a bother to some such thing suddenly go missing, knowing that it used to be there. Heck... I'm used to getting that option as part of when I sign up at other boards before I even have my account. >.>;

No, it's cool; I am so used to seeing it in that exact same place, which is why I asked when it wasn't there.
