HallowJack’s goal, since he was a level 4 Botling with calculator-generated dreams of the perfect warrior build, was to be the first ever
authentic level 7 bot who made it into the top 25 most experienced mechs of HMW.
Now you all know.

Please explain authentic. What makes his build more authentic than any other level 7?
Sorry, I was going to wait to respond until after work, but head cold + manic mood swings = no sleep.
When I first scanned over this (scanned because I was more interested in what Burn said) I thought you said it was for RP, which I could get behind, except RP wise, Hallowjack is dumber than a Sharkticon, and would literally be braindead blowing bubbles and more likely to hurt himself than a con or autobot (no int would mean lacking the ability to distinguish friend from foe) when he did manage to fire off his weapon. He would basically be dropped off as a wall, which would be great for keeping undesireables like me out of Iacon.
If I leveled down to 7 and got their faster, would that crush your dream? Asking for a friend.
Ok. Now to talk to the other adults.

It is my understanding, and I checked with others and they believe the same, level caps were NOT implemented over level 7. I have vague memories of why but I won't go into them.
My bad, I assumed they just where not working like so much else in the game. I know you can't really do much using the mod panel (that's been broken for what, 10 years now?) but could you make a rule about level caps? The forum rules put forth by OS back during the last great reset (or are they older?) allows for staff to make changes to the rules. The caps we have are more than generous, and 10 can't have a cap as only way to reach 11 is with a dual tactic alt mode.
"Level bullies" have been around since year 1. There's always going to be someone who feels that someone else is being a "level bully".
Isn't that why we had caps added in the first place? Certain people refusing to level up and stiffling everyone?
Personal opinion? Sitting on 117+ million of XP is ... well it baffles me. You could level up and go against higher opponents and earn more XP. You could level up and your fellow Autobots can repair you and they earn more XP.
By not levelling up, by sitting at the highest possible point of a level, you get to beat up on lower level opponents. You hold them back. Simultaneously, you're more likely to outperform other members of your faction. You hold them back.
This is my personal opinion that I've held for years, by not taking that leap to the next level, you have the potential to hold back players from both sides. That's just not Cricket.
I brought that up, but he didn't seem to care. He should think of Steve honestly.
Also, we both know the reason Hallowjack is able to stay at 7 with 0 fire power or skill is that you have a prototype weapon equipped. It would be a shame if those prototypes were brought up to damage appropriate equipment requirements.
That's not a prototype weapon. That is Jacks personal weapon he earned in some tournament way back. Going forward it was always the plan for any personal weapons to have the same stats and requirements.

it-seems-i-have-a-weapon-malfunction--t110806.php He said it was from a naming contest, so I assumed it was a prototype like that thing Chompy has. Stat wise, it's basically an 8 point weapon like the non-prototype Atomic Breath and Hellfire Shotgun that isn't for Phaze. And I am aware that he's had that gun for a while, but to be quite honest, it does give him an unfair advantage. If I could run a 8 stat weapon for free, I probably still wouldn't as I would feel dirty and that I'm cheating. But then again, it's why I don't min max in D&D or go for super powerful weapons in it either. It's no fun for others if the wizard is casting maximized enlarged fireball and nukes everything before anyone else can get a turn.
Did I mention I'm running on 2 hrs of sleep, a headcold, and manic high? lol
