I got incredibly drained/burned on TF:Earth Wars because of their constant weekend events. If it was an individual event I had to push myself, if it was an Alliance event, I had to push myself even further. I eventually reached a point where I planned my weekend around the stupid game.
Pokemon Go however, regardless of your feelings about Pokemon in general, has an awesome balance. Once a month they have a "community day" which really only runs for three hours, so on a Saturday, from 1pm - 4pm you have a chance to catch lots of a specific Pokemon.
This system is so much easier. You're not committed every weekend, you're only committed once a month for three hours, and that's if you want to. You don't have to worry about Alliance egos!
So I'm all for a once a month tournament. What I'm not sure is the time frame. Do we run it all weekend and people take hourly naps? Perhaps we run it for a set period of missions?
