I watched the movie with my mother-in-law today, and we had a great time. She really liked shia, confirming his appeal and how well they cast for him. Anyway, she had a great question: If the allspark could regenerate frenzy and create the mountain dew-bot, why couldn't it regenerate bumblebee's legs after starscream blew them off?
thoughts?
Power of the allspark?

Re: Power of the allspark?
Simple, it was too far away.
Remember the Xbox bot and the mountain dew bot and the steering wheel bot ? they were all within 20-30 feet or so when the energy pulse hit them.
Maybe with larger transformers it doesn't work that well and they've lost too much mass so it can't just magically reappear and that would mean no transformer could ever die as long as the allspark was around.
There's only one small piece of it left so unless there is more than one allspark out there who knows what they intend to do with it.

I agree with you, except after BB lost his feet, he HANDED sam the cube with his big puppydog eyes, regretting he had to hand the flag to someone else after falling... He clearly touched it for at least several seconds...
I'll have to watch again to double-check, but I'm pretty sure that's how it went down...

But as we could probably see, the Allspark was only activated by Sam when something hit him. I'm pretty confident that it could of healed Bumblebee's legs, but it probably would've taken quite a long time.

Frenzy just looked at it, and had over 80% of his body regenerated instantly. Dew-bot was 20 feet away, and created instantly.
And feet are a problem how, exactly? And didn't it bang around during the explosion that blew BB's feet off in the first place?
It's the only major hole I'm aware of now, thanks to my mother-in-law. Go Alice.

Even simpler. It's a movie, with plotholes and patchworks of not the greatest writing.

I just saw it again yesterday and yes that is exactly what happened, we know that the allspark creates evil robots first and we don't know what the process is that makes them good yet so if the allspark 'knew" bumblebee was good then maybe that's why it did not heal him ?
Could this mean then that there are two allsparks, one bad and one good ?
Time will tell and I look forward to the sequels.

If this was the case, then Prime's primary objective will not be retrieving the Allspark, or keeping it away from Megatron.
But to blow it to hell, as soon as it is found. The mission of every Autobot would be to destroy it at the slightest possible chance.
Prime being righteous and all.

Yup. Otherwise, it wouldn't be called ALL-spark. But instead, Dark-spark and Good-spark.
(Bad-spark would sound unprofessional.)
