Power Rangers 2010 Dino Megazord Questions

Postby Diem » Sun Oct 16, 2011 6:00 pm

So I found out yesterday that there was a 2010 modified rerelease of the original Megazord. Apparently at the time of sale it only cost around $25-$35 but it seems that now, just a year later, it is difficult to find at a fair price. Does anyone know how much I should expect to pay for it and where it would still be available? Did it ever show up at discount chains like Ross?

I saw this guy everywhere while he was out, but they never hit Aftermarket stores. Curiously, the Green Dragonzord never saw retail around here at all.

FYI: I passed on him altogether. He's not a mod, it's a totally new mold. It's shorter than the original, and has odd pegs jutting out to hold it together. the original is superior.

I've heard it's not as good as the original but I'm only after a shot of nostalgia rather than a whole keg of it and I understand the 1993 Megazord goes for $150-$200 nowadays.

Did they make a 2010 Dragonzord? I never heard of that.

Titanus was remade, but the Dragonzord is still in the works. Apparently Bandai is making sure they don't screw it up.

The original Megazord is better. I have the original and is probably the most played with toy from my childhood, but is just as sturdy as when I first got it. Man I love that thing.

The 2010 version excels in being somewhat sleeker. It's a great piece, but the aftermarket pricesa re insane. If I had known I would have bought them all while on clearance.

Looks like you can expect $30-50 loose and $90-120 sealed.

That's crazy pricing there for it. I wish I had an extra cause I'd hook you up.

I thought the Dragonzord was canceled altogether with the debut of the Samurai toy line. Wouldn't make much sense to release a toy from "an older toy line", would it?.

Speaking of Megazords, if I were you, diem, I'd avoid the Samurai Megazord, and go for Shinken'Oh instead. Not only do the Foldingzords lack the emblem modes, it looks like the DaiKai Shinken'Oh combo isn't even possible.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

I've yet to see anything about the Dragonzord actually being cancelled. I did a pretty big search on the net for the thing and couldn't find anything that said it was cancelled.

All I know from what I read was that the Dragonzord is going to be the late comer in the line. It might even become part of a different line at this point.

It is possible that we'll never see the figure though.

I'm not that interested in the newer Megazords...since the Ninja Megazord none of the newer ones have really caught my attention. I'm more after a nostalgia fix.

I'd love to see the Dragonzord. The combination he had with the Mastodon, Tiger and Triceratops was awesome.

Not to mention some of the newer Sentai Mechs have become too gimmicky, and the final gattai mechs too clustered. Seen the RPM Ultrazord and Samurai Haoh?

Well the part that gets me is I was living in Japan, teaching kids, for everything from Boukenger to Goseiger and not only were those figures taking vital shelf space away from Takara TFs but the kids who were into it were the 1-4 age group, which made me feel it would be a bit strange to enjoy them. That's not to say I didn't watch Rescue Force during the rare occasions that I woke up early on a Sunday.
